Terms of Endearment

Status: offline 		When you are in a D/s relationship, regardless of the role you play, do you find yourself using terms of endearment like honey, baby, darling etc., or do you stick primarily to the Sir/Master, pet/slave names?

I add the endearment to the pet name ..."My darling puppy"..."My baby puppy"..."My sweet bitch"...

Status: offline 		With 9 years of marriage behind us, honey, baby, and darling are common pet names that are used.  We also have the "my daddy" and "daddy's little girl" that we address each other with.  Along with a lot more that I won't post.

When I call them sweet pet or something along those lines it means the same...the one thing I hate to do but have to in the nilla world is call them by thier "real" names/ For some reason that bohers Me. I am wondering lately if I should come up with a nilla term of endearment for such occassions...not to hijack the thread but I wonder has anyone come up with some they use for their bdsm relationships in the nilla world that are not so common like honey and babe and such are?

I'm going to dress them in different colors and call them by Care Bear names.
Grumpy bear, is of course, my favorite, so he gets to be the alpha slave.
I would call him "Grumpy bear".
This theme would also work well with 7 slaves: Sleepy, Dopey, Bashful, Doc, Sneezy, Happy and of course, Grumpy.

I call "twice", our slave, by her name normally. If the mood strikes me, I'll call her sweety or whatever seems to fit at the time, but she calls me Master, and Shifted, Mistress, all the time, even in the nilla world. I figure if they (the public) know what she means, it won't bother them, and if they don't, well they will just have to figure we watched too much "I Dream of Jeanie"...lol. I can't see rearranging our dialog for people I don't have to associate with daily...and a few raised eyebrows now and then might be good exercise for them.

Status: offline 		For me, I tend to use terms of endearment often.  Each of my pets has their special nickname, which they know is theirs alone and usually thier favorite term of endearment.  However, little one, sweetie, baby and things like that slip in in conversation as wel.  Then again, I do that in vanilla conversation too.
Actually, I have a harder time remembering to call my boys by their real names when we are out in public... I use their nicknames almost exclusively, which gets quite a few looks when we are around vanilla friends of theirs who notice the name *chuckle*

Status: offline 		My Dom uses terms of endearment for me all the time. He calls me Sweetie, honey or baby, as well as good girl and My little slut.

He told me right at the beginning that he didn't like terms of endearment. My God was that hard to get used to for a Southern girl that calls everyone honey, sugar, or darlin'. I have slipped once in awhile, but for the most part I have turned Sir and Daddy into my terms of endearment for him. Sometimes I will say my Love when we are in a very special moment.

I'm sure that could be arranged Loki...lol, I just hope she acquires that "snap of the fingers" trick when she does. Of course then, no one would think it was odd that she called us Master and Mistress,...hmmm, or would they?

Status: offline 		For me, "Master"  IS a term of endearment.  If I've ever become too familiar and refer to someone I serve as honey or baby or sweetie, I'd get "the look"  or a swift backhand, depending on their mood.

Status: offline 		Master and i have been together long enough that the terms of endearment aren't always loaded with D/s connotations. He calls me all sorts of things (baby, sweetie, snugglebear *LOL*), and i call Him the same. Sorta. i will call Him baby occasionally, especially if we're in public.
