Thank you. That's an actual reason (as opposed to what I've been told before). Having been told once not to revive necro-threads, I don't do it. But it's quite helpful to understand the reasoning behind it.

Historical information that's actually relevant to my question -- imagine that!

Ya know, section 7.3 should have answered this question before you even posted it. Go back to TOS and read again, pay very close attention to the end of that paragraph.
