So I say fuck it,sic the IRS on republicans.......if only to make things equal.

I predict the sale of private islands will skyrocket. Better get invested.

We`re going to take their money before we kick them out of the best country in the world.

Let me know how that works out for you.

So the "it" that is being fucked would be "right and wrong"? Win at all costs? Does the idea of doing the right thing even play into how we would like our leaders to act?

BTW, equal is only something that is relevant in math. Otherwise it is just an opinion, and not quantifiable.

In case anyone missed it, the best part of this response will be quoted again (with emphasis added)....

I'm surprised that someone who supports the President and his agenda actually believes this is the best country in the world. Maybe you could tell the people you support to stop trying to fundamentally transform it.

By wanting to take their money, I assume you support the quasi-Socialist views of some Democrats. You do realize there are countries that have socialism and communism, if you want to live that way, go live that way. I never understood why people who want to make the U.S. more like Europe and other countries just don't move.

Have at it...

No there aren't. You people spent half a century bankrupting them with an economic "who can piss the highest" contest after the second world war, and they all reverted back to plutocracies around the turn of the '90s.

What, exactly, has been changed or will be changed?

Are there no republicrats who support quasi socialist views? Which views are we speaking of?

For those who may not have got the memmo here is a clue:
The u.s. was started by europeans.

The entire civil service, minus a few political appointees, is supposed to be non-partisan. Career civil servants work under Democratic and Republican administrations alike, and should be able to be professional and not let their personal political affiliations get in the way of doing their job.

That's the real problem I have with this whole story. I don't think it's necessarily a bad thing that quasi-political groups trying to register as charitable entities are given a careful look, but it should be an equal opportunity careful look.

I agree with this.

Moreover, even though I am a big fan of President Obama, I think his administration should take whatever they have coming for this fuckup. Just because I support the administration does not mean that I will sit here and spout excuses, justifications, or spin when they do something wrong. Sweeping scandals under the rug does not serve the public good.

We are fortunate to live in a country where it is our constitutional right to criticize the government without being sanctioned. We all should exercise that right whether or not "our side" is in power and without regard to whatever political victory we fear "the other side" will obtain. We would have a much better government that way.

Amen.
