Anyone glad this is coming back?

Kaliko -> RE: 24 (5/14/2013 7:16:34 PM)

No.

You know what I want to see back? (And, I've been away from TV so long, maybe it did come back.) There was that show that was on for just one season. Everybody on Earth blacked out for two minutes. Except for a few people. I don't remember the name of that show but I loved it. They should let 24 die and bring that show back.

I like the concept of 24 and I watched the first season religiously. But after that, it was pretty much the same thing. I would have like to see a whole different set of characters every season work within the 24 hours. Not Jack Bauer. And more Jack Bauer. And more Jack Bauer. And more Jack Bauer.

Does the American public need more ticking time bomb torture to distort their opinions?

Yes, actually. We need to be desensitized more than we already are.

Short answer: no.

Longer answer: I couldn't stand it when it first came out and can't believe it's coming back. I was so excited when it finally went off the air. I believe, when I heard the announcement of its ending I said out loud 'FINALLY'. I was so happy I didn't have to hear the rehash the next day on the morning radio into work. At least this time I don't commute.
I thought the idea behind it was original but didn't see how it was possible to continue past one season - for that reason I was completely uninterested.

Kaliko, do you mean FlashForward?

MercTech -> RE: 24 (5/15/2013 4:49:35 PM)

Touch was an interesting concept and well done enough to be worth watching.

I watched two episodes of 24 and gave up on it. It would have been good for a 3-4 episode mini series but was too stretched out to be other than mostly boring.

Lucylastic -> RE: 24 (5/15/2013 5:08:15 PM)

Theres something about Kiefer Sutherland that makes me twitchy to the point of anger, I think its his voice, I loved the movie Dark CIty but his characters voice drove me nuts, and I can barely watch ten minutes of the episodes of 24 I did try before wanting to scream at him in irritation, I cant explain it other than that, very few people irritate me to that point so fast, I know he has talent, but I think my ears are allergic to him, so Im definitely one who wont be watching:)

Yes! :)

~FR~

You are all missing the main point: In "24" Elisha Cuthbert always ends up bound. That alone is worth watching all 24 episodes.

If you disagree with me you are wrong.
