Mercnbeth -> THANK YOU TO AMERICAN VETS!! (11/11/2004 11:22:46 AM)

Whether you agree or disagree about how their commander uses them, make sure if you see a man or woman in uniform today you thank them for their service to the country. If you have any friends who are or were in the military - send them a note of thanks.

It's their efforts and their blood left on battlefields all over the world that allow us to debate without fear. Our soldier go forth for little pay, and without a goal of personal gain. Their only goal is to make it back home safe to their love ones.

They go to fight to try and bring freedom to the world. They do not fight so that their country can "take over the world". They fight for a country that is the only one in the history of the world who has the power for global conquest and hasn't done so.

THANK YOU Veterans!
And Thanks to those that are serving today!

Yes THANK YOU SOLDERS! I see that you're being driven by one side, and the other side wants to kill you for it. You are in between a rock and a hard place but you will prevail.

I too want to say a big thank you to all the Veterans that have fought and sacrificed for this great country. I especially want to thank my Father who was wounded in The Korean War. Thank you!

This day is special to me in that my Grandfather fought in WW2 and Vietnam, my father in Korea and in the desert wars and my husband in the war now still going on. They have all now past from this life to the next and i always will continue to thank them, and all Veterans for what they are doing for this country. I also want to thank those family members that see their loved ones off in hopes of them coming back, for their strength and courage. THANK YOU!!
