Are there any REAL people on this site? There must be at least fifty variations of someone with "megan" in their name and a hotmail address. The pictures are all young looking girls. The responses always claim to have a strong desire to meet right away "to get to know each other better".

I'm not so naive or inexperienced that I don't recognize these are phony come-on's. I just wish there was some way to meet a real person to share ideas, thoughts and time with.

Well, robbiegirl, you have. I highly doubt the majority of posters here, myself included, are spambots/scammers like you describe. Of course, it all hinges on whether you've taken the red pill or the blue pill.

Love, Megan...

No. Everyone here is totally fake so you should leave.

I mean, wow, you have been here a WHOLE month so of course patience has nothing to do with it.

Yup, first "are there real people" thread of the week... maybe they need to start a forum section just for that question, save the hassles with other areas...

I would say just make it a sticky, but from my observations, the ones who complain tend to not bother reading the rules. They also tend to ignore profiles and send out copypasta scattershot to any profile with the term "female" in it.

Wow! What a warm, fuzzy group of responces.

First, I didn't say EVERYONE was a fake. I simply asked the question, "Are there any real people on this site?". If questions bother you, how do YOU communicate with others when you are looking for information? Sorry, another question.

Second, I didn't know there was an unwritten rule that says those who haven't been around long enough to have "paid their dues", need to follow the adage that used to be given children, "to be seen and not heard".

Okay, let me try this again, without, hopefully, stepping on any toes or bruising any feelings. This site came highly recommended from some discussions on FetLife as a place where a person might find others who shared similar interests in PE, SMBD, and DOM?SUB. Clearly, a large majority of individuals don't feel these are normal, acceptable feelings and practices. It was a comforting thought to think there was a place a person could go and find others who shared these "deviant" interests.

My post was not intended to accuse, blame or criticize anyone. It was merely an expression of disappointment that I had not found what I had hoped would be someplace different from the "real" world we normally live in.

So based on your hot tip about young looking girls, I immediately went to the other side and searched "megan". Well well well . . . you didn't tell us that was actually going to pull nothing but gay men who list themselves as female, cross dressers who list themselves as female and one lesbian Domme.

Jeez, what a disappointment. Fake young looking girls my ass . . . I saw only one scammer and that was on page two. Do all gay men and CDs name themselves megan? What up with that, a secret code?

robbie, you're wasting your time trying to meet people by going through profiles. If you really want to meet people, try local groups.

Considering that you're posting on a forum populated by sadists, that WAS a warm, fuzzy response. You want to know why you got the reaction you did? Every day there's another newbie whining about all the "fake" people on this site. The truth is, it's a free site, so by extension it's a scammer magnet. It is up to you to determine who is real and not real.

Someone like me, who gets their jollies messing with scammers, is in seventh Heaven here. I looked at your profile, and it really doesn't look that bad. Now, do you initiate or you do just wait for them to approach you? Have you been to Ask a Mistress forum? Have you used Search? There's a shit-ton of tools here to help you in your search. Use them. That's all I can tell you, man.

robbie,

I was here for 18 months when my One found me.

Expecting success in a month and a half is very nearly instant success.

You seem to want someone who will let you be comfortably you (cross-dressed) and who is a dominant woman without the theater of what media and entertainment portrays as dominant.

There are many dominant women who do not yell or do humiliation scenes or dress up in all black leather and heels.
(Not that there is anything wrong with all black leather and heels)

My suggestion is to come and hang out with us here for awhile.
Read the message boards.
There is a lot of good information here:

You see, you now clarified your reason for the post. You said you came here hoping for DISCUSSIONS. However, you did not actually start a thread about a discussion. You started a thread COMPLAINING.
As someone else said, there are BILLIONS of threads posted by whiners who state no one is real, everyone is a fake, scammer, etc. because they did not meet their dream girl or guy in a month.

So that is why you got my reply and others.

There is no standard amount of time or due paying involved; you simply cannot go on this side of Collarme to whine about no one real, when clearly, most on this side (which is discussions) we are real.

You experienced that first hand.

i think the "tone" of the responses you received was in reaction to your very first question, especially when you capitalized the word real. It sounded a bit accusatory. Whether that was intentional or not, you reap what you sow.

i have only been on this site a very short time, and yet all of my interaction in the forum section has been positive. Perhaps the reason for that is because i researched the message boards before i posted so that i wasn't being redundant. The topic of real people on this site has been beaten like a dead horse all the way to the glue factory. i am sure that FetLife has it's share of posers so why should CM be any different?

If you want others to communicate with you in a polite and respectful way, may i suggest you practice communication 101.

Besides us with "deviant" interests can be a bunch of smart asses, it comes with the territory. Either get some thick skin or go grab a sweater.

Actually... It's pretty standard practice to lurk for a while on a forum, and maybe even do a quick search before asking a question.

If you're interested in manners, that is.

To me, it isn't how a person acts during the good times, but in the bad, that matters to me. Will impatience, frustration or anger precede all else? Will they reason through before they lash out? Will they lay blame? Will they run or run wild or nuts? Will they see a whole picture or just one aspect of it? Will they think of others or only themselves?

We all have wants and needs. We all wish things could be better at some point and we all have times when we can't readily get what we want. That is life. Which leads to something else I look for. Do they have a view of life that promotes a good life or life attitude?

Lashing out in any emotion to the point of expecting something that doesn't happen in the time frame you want it to and then playing the blame game... rather that pick yourself up, dust off and get out there and make something happen... is just not good life skills in my opinion. Talking to someone that tends to go to these places first, wouldn't be real enlightening or enhancing to me. I'd have to teach you life, that you ought to already know by our ages, before I could get a beneficial conversation out of you.

You bunch of big meanies, you made a 56 year old grown man upset because you don't talk nice. Personally I have never understood why people read so much into text. How do you know that remark you took as mean was not typed by a person that was laughing? How do you know they weren't making a joke?

*on topic* Robbie, think about it, if people seem a little snippy you will at least know they are real and being honest about what they say.

*as for finding "real" people* OMG, people on fet said something nice about collarme (pardon me while I note my shock and amazement) Robbie, Ohio has a pretty large group of kinky folk, I have now had three subs that came from there. As I see it the issues is none of you know how to find each other so I would suggest following DarkStevens advice and get out in your local community. And stick around here too while you are at it. We aren't all overly friendly but most of us have been at this for years, decades, etc. and from time to time we can be helpful.

Everyone here IS real...

Some are real nice, some are real funny, some are real smart, and some are real helpful.

There are also some who are real scammers, real liars, real bastards, and real jerks.

The only REAL way to figure out which one is which is through TIME. And I also recommend spending time reading the forums. I find that the people who spend time posting here are more likely to be the kinds of people I would like to be around than the person who only has an ad on the other side and constantly casts a wide net. And there is definitely nothing wrong with making some friends first. Friends are good.
