Interesting....

http://www.usatoday.com/story/news/nation/2013/05/22/fbi-boston-bombing-killed-orlando/2350065/

"An FBI agent shot and killed an Orlando man early Wednesday who had been questioned for several hours about his alleged ties to Boston bombing suspect Tamerlan Tsarnaev, the victim's friend told local media.

FBI officials have confirmed that a man died while one of its agents was "conducting official duties," the Orlando Sentinel reports, but would not elaborate.

The Sentinel and WESH-TV identified the victim as 27-year-old Ibragim Todashev.

The television station quotes Khusn Taramiv, a friend of the victim, as saying both of them had been questioned for almost three hours Tuesday about the Boston bombing case."

I read that the perp attacked a police officer. I applaud him for that; in my opinion more perps ought to attack police officers.

Makes for less perps, and no one has to worry about civilians with guns[8D]

It also tends to cut down on the time and tax money spent sorting out the details.

So does a nuclear bomb.

You gotta wonder about these things they call police/agents when they gun down persons of interest during interrogation. Either they're incompetent in setting up a situation where a real, credible, immediate risk of loss of life could arise in the controlled circumstances of an interrogation, or they're incompetent in being skittish to the point of shooting an unarmed civilian to death without due cause while said civilian isn't even charged with anything in the first place.

I'd say they have to publish surveillance footage from this event, or they're all beyond suspect.

The conspiracy crowd will have a field day with this one.

Ah, so it happened in an interrogation room. I did not know that. Yep, I do think that the officers involved have some explaining to do.

MrRodgers -> RE: FBI shoot /kill Suspect, possible Boston bombing link. (5/22/2013 4:57:14 PM)

How about he knew too much ? Or...he didn't know enough ? Maybe he was too slow on the uptake on just what he was supposed to know or wasn't. Does that cover all of the conspiracies ?

I am pretty much past believing anything govt. has been telling us for 20-30 years where it concerns terrorism, its participants and intrigue like this.

I think it was about the time when Reagan morphing into a neo-con, allowed and likely conspired on Iran Contra and even though that didn't forward any war on terror...our cause de jour.

LBJ didn't help at all but did the right thing in going home. Everybody in govt. hated Kennedy but I just didn't pick up on govt. corruption back then even though I was correct in my prediction that we would watch Oswald shot on national TV.

I have no indication that there was any 'government' conspiracy involved in the Boston marathon bombing or in the three previous murders.

The victims of that unsolved triple murders. Brendan Mess, 25, Raphael Teken, 37, and Erik Weissman, 31, were found with their throats slit and their bodies covered with marijuana. Police also recovered about $5,000 in cash at the scene.

That's some sad shit right there. Poor innocent merrywanna used in such a sickening way.

It always concerns me when things like this happen because I feel like we collectively lose access to information.

Regardless, the details sound like he had been cooperating with officials for several weeks and was about to sign a statement about the triple murders when he pulled a knife on one of the agents (how did he have access to a knife?) and then was shot. It also sounds like he was planning to leave for Chechnya shortly. And that last fact troubles me. What more did he know (on the terrorism front) that we will never find out?

Care to elaborate on that, or is this just another round of driveby muckflinging from you?

Interesting idea. Why don't you trot off to your nearest police station and give it a try. Let us know how it works out for ya [8|]

Aswad -> RE: FBI shoot /kill Suspect, possible Boston bombing link. (5/23/2013 6:12:55 PM)

An amendment to my earlier posting:

I was posting under the assumption that this man was being interrogated at the police station.

Since he was interrogated in his home, that changes things somewhat.

Pity they weren't carrying tasers.

FBI Agents carrying tasers? Highly unlikely. Not their style.
