I just found out about cruising and must say I'm pretty turned on by the idea. But I was wondering if anyone has ever gone cruising and ended up in a BDSM/bondage type deal, or slave kinda thing even. Just from a random stranger. Cause from what I've seen its mostly just sex and oral, which is fine also...

I wouldn't go cruising - because you could end up with a broken ship, no A/C and have to sleep with thousands of strangers.

or is there another meaning to cruising?

Cruising is illegal in many places.

Causes traffic jams. Which is annoying to folks who aren't just cruising.

A. No person shall drive or permit a motor vehicle under his care, custody or control to be driven past a traffic-control point more than two times in the same direction of travel within a two-hour period in or around a posted “no cruising” area.

B. On the major streets or alleys of a “no cruising” area there shall be posted a sign which shall read substantially as follows:

NO CRUISING AREA

City Ordinance No. 1396-87

Maximum Penalty—$1,000

C. A traffic-control point as used in this section means any point or points within the “no cruising” area established by the police department for the purpose of monitoring cruising.

D. No violation shall occur except upon the third passage in the same direction of travel past the same traffic-control point within the aforementioned two-hour period.

E. No area shall be designated or posted as a “no cruising” area except upon the passage of a resolution by the city council specifically mandating such designation and posting for a particular area.

F. Buses, taxicabs and emergency vehicles shall be exempt from the provisions of this chapter. Further, it shall be an affirmative defense that the vehicle was operated for business purposes.

G. Cruising is a misdemeanor and may be punished by a fine not to exceed one thousand dollars. (Ord. 1396-87 § 1, 1987)

I suppose it could happen. I mean, it would be easy to make it look like a passenger(s) "accidentally" fell off the ship, while instead they're chained up deep in the bowels of the liner. Talk about shipboard entertainment!

I used to cruise. When I was in college, we'd all go down to the strip and the girls would stand in the parking lots and watch our men race their muscle cars. And then we'd cruise up and down the strip and we'd all rev our engines at each other.

LOL - how ridiculous was I?

A kinky cruise sounds fun, as long as the seas are calm anyway - bondage and seasickness wouldn't be as fun... Though like the idea of being lashed to a mast... And lashed :p

The other cruising (am guessing similar to dogging or cottaging), not my thing, would worry about stds and would not feel safe with strangers.

State Street in SLC every Friday night when I was in high school. Didn't matter if you had a hot car or the family car, it was always fun to do. In case anyone here was there '83-'84, I was the guy in the crappy four-door blue Chevette with the VETTE sticker on the windshield...

The only slang usage I'm familiar with for "cruising" is driving around aimlessly with or without friends.

What the heck am I missing here? Could someone fill me in? Google and UD aren't helping.

Apparently it also refers to looking for anonymous (generally gay) sex or driving while high.

I've never done either. As to the former, I have slept with people on first meeting without a future relationship intended and/or occurring but I believe we've always at least exchanged names (one guy I can't remember if we did or not)... not ever sought anything anonymous on purpose, no.

If its the cruising eluded to in the Urban Dictionary definition, that is about the most dangerous (and quite frankly dumbest) things...random strangers you don't know enough to trust AND BDSM. Sounds like a very bad combination if you ask me...or the makings of an 11 o'clock news item about some body police found dumped in an empty field somewhere.

If its the boat kind of cruising, Im thinking there are a bunch of Carnival cruise customers who would argue that sailing the sewage seas was not all that exciting.

Cruising, ya what a good idea,

what could go wrong with thousands of knuckle heads driving around aimlessly.

I'm sure "Global Warming" is a myth, and all those massive "Natural Disasters" have nothing to do with our total disrespect of this planet. Please burn more fossil fuels , and i will just sit here and hope the next hurricane/tornado/flood/tidal wave hits your house.
