ORIGINAL: MasterCaneman I'm interested, and I've purchased one book so far, The Complete To Guide Edible Wild Plants/Department of the Army ISBN 978-1-0239-692-0. So far, the GF and I have made a couple salads from just what she has growing on her property. Since she doesn't use chemicals on her lawn, they should be safe, but be careful nonetheless. It was interesting to learn how many plants and weeds that I always assumed were just 'there' actually have food potential. I plan on exploring this further, and there's a local group around here that goes out and teaches. I'm definitely looking into that. Be safe, especially with mushrooms, is all I can add. Way to go, MC, keep learning and foraging. I love the stuff, personally. Was lucky enough to give my 2nd two hour power point presentation on the edible/medicinal/functional aspects of about 10 local, common plants, at the local library last night. The more I learn, the less I know. Right you are, MC, be very careful and learn your plants very well.
