I was online today and came across pet play. It interested me quite a bit. Is there anyone that can discuss it with me or references that can help?

I hit the Search feature for you. These are from right here: Pet Play, Pony Play, and from FL: Pet Play 2, and finally, Pony Play 2.

While one of my kinks is collar and leash, I haven't gotten into the petplay kink as deeply as others. I am more familiar with pony play, but it's a pretty pricy kink on either side of the kneel. Lots of protocol, accessories, and there is a physical fitness factor to deal with, especially as a male. However, you are geographically closer to some of the US's more active groups, too.

Thank you. I appreciate that. I found some on here but none really caught my eye.

FL does have more groups and event listings than here. Question: which side of the kneel were you interested in? That goes a long way in finding what you want, or are you just interested in the overall scene?

I think that one of the things that at least personally for me creates the best pet play experience is finding a dynamic that works and sticking to it. By that I mean experimenting with what level of humanity you want to allow your pet and once you find a level that fits and creates an enjoyable experience set that as the standard. Do you want your pet to be allowed to walk upright or are they only allowed to move on all fours? Are they allowed to speak to you or can they only communicate with animal sounds? There are plenty of variables but with enough time and patience I'm sure that you can find something that works for you and your play partner. Best of luck!

I would like to try both sides. Mainly being the pet first and being trained.

If I were in your shoes I would just try to find someone to date, and then after a few dates I would raise the subject. There are lots of ways to do this. I would go for something funny, for example showing her one of the "boys make good pets" comics to get her reaction.

Or -- In a pet store, put a dog collar around my neck and say "how does this look on me?". A freakout reaction isn't the end of the conversation - you get to ask how she feels about it, why such a freakout. If she gets a gleam in her eye and wants to buy a leash, better. If she tries different collars on you in the store, you are golden.

You have to do it your way. The whole idea is to open up to someone about something pretty personal. If you can write to strangers on a forum like this, you can try to get adopted while on a date.

I do pet play from time to time, I personally enjoy kitty play.
Which is funny since I am not a "cat person."

I have some experience with puppy training as well.

For me, puppy play is deliciously humiliating, kitty play is sweet and fun. But that's just how they work for me. In my fantasies, I do a more open ended 'sleen' play, without limiting myself to one animal, but living as an on all fours human pet with pet or animal like restrictions.

How would you say fox play works, and is different from puppy play?

I'm not very interested in the furry thing, sounds hot, I hate hot. (the temperature)

What is a Furry?. They do have a lot of fun at conventions, I can say that. But the suits and masks have to get hot. You may like, you may not. Honestly, what would probably work best for you at this stage is a Human Pet.

Considerably lost less work that constructing a full costume, and the equipment/outfitting costs are low to start up. Keep in mind that on all fours puts wear and tear on body parts you haven't used since before toddlerhood. I had a sub who liked to play it, but after a couple of hours she would become visibly uncomfortable not being to stand up and walk normally. But she was so adorable in her little ears and with her nose blacked out.

Pet play is a fun spice for me but I'm way too hung up on the fact that humans are incapable of acting like real dogs no matter how hard they try so that puts a damper on my enthusiasm for the kink.

I've made a post on FL about puppy play and different sports you could train your dog for. Agility, competition obedience, even schutzhund and tracking. I haven't explored any of these ideas of mine since I lack physical space to do anything extensive.

I honestly just wouldn't mind experiencing it either as a fox puppy or kitty. As long as I had the chance. All of the equipment really interests me and it was nice yo see some of it even for the training. The fursuits dont look to bad either. It might get pretty hot but it would be cool to see myself in one. Yeah I understand its grueling work and everything and stressful on the body but that still doesnt change my mind.
