Here's my interpretation.

Typo. It should say "This is exciting." He's describing a circular for a sale at the local grocery store. A Memorial Day sale.

Here's pure conjecture on my part...perhaps it is a succinct commentary on the sad state of affairs that we as a nation have brought ourselves to when we use the deaths of soldiers as a platform to sell more bars of soap.

Or,...he's on the couch with a serious case of the munchies, watching infomercials, and typing into his phone.

I got it, right away.

The song "Ebony and Ivory" (M. Jackson, P. McCartney) came over the airwaves while listening to the radio, and it brought to mind Ocra whales (Okra whales being the Germanic spelling).

This occurring while reading the weekly specials that were advertizing their own offerings which struck so nearly the same chord.

Well, I do believe he is referring to a Memorial Day Sale circular.

Memorial day, July 4th circulars usually have a tendency to put me off shopping for a while.

A local sporting goods retailer (gun shop) put one out in the local paper that advertised only American made firearms and had all kinds of Patriotic stuff about buying American...

Now I am a gun owner, but I found the ad a bit out of taste.

Ocra is a veggie, usually fried. If it is not cooked right, it gets slimy as snot on a door knob.
