"John McCain's Secret Trip to Syria"

Disputes over arms for Syria cloud U.S.-Russian peace drive

I`m not sure this is the best way(for us and the west) to go about this.Understandably, there is lots of anxiousness and hope that the rebels get the arms they need asap......but it`s complicated by the fact that there`s many in the rebel ranks, who are our enemies.

The various groups ranging from moderates to jihadies can`t seem to agree to join to form a gov. in exile or otherwise.

Though it may shake things up for the better or very possibly for the worst......is it a good idea for a US Senator to make such a move?

Only McCain could go to Syria.

You were just hoping they'd keep him.

Bah. When has that ever stopped us before?

No, it isn't, IMO. This is just another example of US meddling that should not happen. If any representative should be there, it's the UN, as impotent and corrupt as they are (or, at least they used to be corrupt... not sure if the "new" guy that replaced Annan is running a cleaner ship). At least the blue hats would take the brunt of backlash instead of the US.

If it was a secret trip, why were they talking about it on the radio all weekend? Some secret.

At any rate, this is the more interesting spin on the story:

Syrian Rebels Urge McCain to Get Over Losing to Obama

"For his part, Sen. McCain said that he was “finished” with the Syrian rebels and would now focus on starting a war with North Korea." ~from the article

I love the satire. John McCain, man on a mission to find a war even his mommy would love. He and his buddy from So Carolina are a pathetic duo of frustrated old warriors. Time to dust off a place for them in Arlington before they kill any more of our kids.
