Rule -> Do you prefer to loose weight by carrying around a loaded or an unloaded gun? (5/28/2013 10:01:50 AM)

I read someone mentioning that he was carrying some gun around, and it occurred to me that it is a cool way to loose weight.

But if you were to loose weight this way, would you prefer to carry around a loaded or an unloaded gun?

ETA: Oops, I posted this in the wrong forum.

I just realized that all them fat police officers must be carrying unloaded guns!

jlf1961 -> RE: Do you prefer to loose weight by carrying around a loaded or an unloaded gun? (5/28/2013 10:14:06 AM)

Is there some exercise advantage I am missing here?

And just what the hell good is carrying around an unloaded gun? Sounds like having a milk bucket, milking stool and a herd of bulls. Just dont make sense, you know what I am saying?

Tell that to them fat police officers!

I wouldn't be caught dead w/out my fully loaded sweetie pie, but evidently, she has not helped much in the weight loss department.

That it unexpected: the results of the poll suggest that the majority of fat people are dominants!

I said unloaded, simply because I haven't gone through the training to safely handle a loaded weapon outside of a range while under supervision. I'm going for my licence next month, and will be going through a safety course at the range I'm thinking of joining. So, if you had posted this poll a month from now, my answer would have been loaded too.

I think it's a great way to lose weight. Start with a loaded gun, shoot it until the bullets run out. Result: INSTANT WEIGHT LOSS.

Now, the secret is finding the gun that has the biggest magazine, to increase the amount of weight lost.

Helpful hint: If you aren't happy with the amount of weight lost from shooting bullets, save the last one to shoot YOURSELF...the loss of blood will of course mean more weight lost. HURRAY!

Why yes, I tend to resemble that remark. I carry routinely as part of my job, and if anything, the damn thing gains weight during the day and tries to pull my pants down. CCW is overrated, pain in the ass most of the time, and I'm forever cleaning the rust that forms from close proximity to my Domly self.

I am pretty sure a hammer is better for defense than an unloaded gun. In fact, put two guys at close range, one with a semiautomatic pistol that doesn't have one in the chamber and and the other guy with easy access to a hammer, I think the hammer wins.

In Mexico, many many years ago the cops had to buy their own bullets. I learned to look at the cylinders to see if they were loaded. One day, some cops tried to arrest me in Cancun and put me in the back seat of a Volkswagen Beetle. LMAO, those short little guys didn't do so well so they called for back up. Now there are a dozen cops without bullets in their guns, tourists gathered in crowd and soon video cameras are filming the scene. The cops were timid and when they pushed me I belly bucked them back and knocked one down. They called for more back up, and now even more tourists are watching this street scene where the Mexican Police are failing to arrest a gringo they pulled over on a traffic stop.

Eventually the Federal police showed up with assault rifles. They weren't so timid but they were being filmed so they didn't point the assualt rifles they had slung over their backs at me. Instead, they lined up like a football team and tried pushing my big ass into the Volkswagen Beetle. I had grabbed onto the door and roof and they tried really hard a couple times, but failed.

So now three branches of law enforcement with 22 cops/officers are in the street. There are about 150 tourists circled around and finally the chief of the Tourist Police shows up with nice air conditioned Dodge and offers to take me out for a beer, but says the rescue means I have to buy the beer. He promises to find out what is going on and help straighten it out when we get to the bar (I wouldn't get in the Volkswagen Beetle because they would not tell me why they were arresting me). We went to the bar, he made some calls and a couple hundred bucks cleared everything up.

The point of all that . . . if the very first guy had a hammer instead of an unloaded gun, it all would have went quite differently.

You should try a good IWB holster instead of keester stashing. It hurts the ass much less.

Just one of the untold downsides to domly sweat?

Har-de-har-har. [:)] I do have an IWB, and I hate to say it, but the small of my back is about the only place the damn thing fits and carries comfortably. And yes, downside it may be, but my little heater does have an honest patina to her that a locker queen will never have.

SilverMark -> RE: Do you prefer to loose weight by carrying around a loaded or an unloaded gun? (6/12/2013 6:00:11 AM)

Weigh your self with a loaded gun, than leave it at home when you go out....VOILA' instant weight loss!

MasterCaneman -> RE: Do you prefer to loose weight by carrying around a loaded or an unloaded gun? (6/12/2013 7:38:11 AM)

That adds up to about 30 ounces loaded with my spare mag, holster, and mag carrier. Or I should say, minuses 30 ounces?

Nope, its been a couple weeks and this Poll still makes no sense to me.

Excellent question Rule, but I found about 15 years ago that most newspapers don't use the correct ink for me to see colors the same way people who drive mid size sedans do.
