And why do you do it that way? I personally like to hang them. Daddy asked me why, and I said because I think they are to bulky to fold, but honestly it's just also what I prefer. It just feels like how it should go to me.

Rather unhelpfully I do both.

I hang casual shirts, and a small number of formal shirts - But as I usually only wear a shirt and tie when I'm with clients (and that usually means travelling), most of my smart shirts and pants are folded ready to pack.

I only fold tees and jeans. The rest are hung, including nighties. I prefer the way it looks and it's easier to find everything.
I'm really particular on how my closet and drawers look. That and I don't like to iron.

I hang everything except shorts, T-shirts I sleep in at night and panties.

I'm really going to throw a monkey wrench into the works:

I roll everything that isn't slacks, suits, dress shirts.

Everything; socks, underwear (boxer briefs), t-shirts, polo shirts (I wear a lot of these), jeans.

Rolling keeps things wrinkle-free and frees up lots of room in my closet for the trouble and strife.

Peace and comfort,

Michael

Hmmm, I wonder if we'd like to roll our shirts and things, instead of folding.

Hanging? Folding? That would require me getting them out of the laundry basket first. Ergo...I have no answer.

I do all three, hang, fold & roll. Well, actually, my slave does that for me most of the time.

Roll the socks & jock straps.

Fold white t-shirts, gym shorts and pajamas.

Hang pocket Ts, pants etc.

I hang my skirts and dresses and dress shirts and dress pants. They are hung so they don't get creases and wrinkles since all of that is stuff I wear to work. The materials of these clothes items just wrinkle and crease too easily.

Jeans, tshirts, sweaters, nighties are folded. They are bulkier and don't wrinkle as easily or it doesn't matter if they do.

I hang blouses, sweaters, pants (all pants, including jeans and capris), skirts and dresses.

I fold lingerie, casual shirts and work out clothes.

I hang all my clothes except pajamas and undergarments. I used to not hang shorts and pants, but the second dresser got broken so I'm sharing my dresser space and had to start hanging some things so that some of my drawers could be used. Otherwise I prefer not to hang things, I have issues with hangers falling everywhere, and my husband tends to like to hang the extra ones way high in the closet making them impossible for me to reach.

Pants and good shirts are hung, shorts and stained shirts are folded. my one nightgown is usually on my bed, ready to be put on.

FR:

I have *lots* of clothes, so much of this decision making is based on dresser space and closet space. I have more closet space, so I hang anything that isn't casual. Except I *always* fold sweaters, and anything else that's a knit and is going to get the dreaded hanger gutter in the shoulder (I hate that.) I have a huge dresser, a large chest of drawers for sweaters, and a separate small dresser just for lingerie (another thing I like). I roll some things, mostly for Himself, he has a bazillion tee shirts.

His work clothes are hung up so he can find things easily in the morning, and I routinely go through his chest of drawers and re-fold or re-roll.
