Okay peeps, I don't mean to sound overtly political. But I have to say this: I realise most of us live within the confines of Baby Bush's America, so very fond of punishment that enclaves of the world is (sounding like Yoda here), and that many think wrongdoers (and 'wrong' is a VERY relative issue, isn't it?) ought to be 'punished' for the sake of it.

'Punish' for what! What the fuck is this 'punishment' bollox regarding rude emails? Just chuck the offending correspondance, and hey presto, rub your hands off it! For crying out loud, you'd think this was a mental hospital at times ;-p

Incredifuckingable.

Perhaps people enjoy getting their knickers in a twist that much? That's it, isn't it! They need emotional upheaval in order to feel they exist, so in the absence of real events in their lives they go and create them, literally out of shit, online.

It's interesting.

slaves and subs speak only when spoken to, and very little or no direct eye contact. As to the rest, I will let you use your imagination. So you can understand my distress when a male that calls himself a slave has the audacity to dare speak to me in anything other than complete respect. I refuse to "turn the other cheek" in that instance.

How dare he?  He's got some gumption!  Of all the nerve!  Sheesh!

Seriously, your planet must be cold and scary.  Especially if you think a sub/slave approaching you is a reason for the administrators to get involved.

Of course, I am always free to move on. I have had no luck finding any "real" female subs on this website.

You know, when you say things like that, it makes things like, "And you're obviously a clueless <choke, cough> mistress," pop into my head.

Really, though, you must not be looking hard enough.  Then again, how hard can you have possibly looked if you've only belonged to the site for a day?  And if you had a different profile before, why did you need to start a new one just to post this topic?  Seems a little puerile to me, one way or another.

LaTigresse -> RE: Respect within the community (6/26/2006 10:08:16 AM)

Good grief! Do you mean that I am to expect the people that run this FREE site to police my email inbox for ME???
OMG I am supposed to be too lazy to delete those silly annoying ones myself??
Well bugger, why didn't someone tell me this??
Last I knew respect is earned by behaviour not by labeling myself as deserving it. Last I knew I am responsible for my own actions as is every other adult human on this planet.
Call me crazy but I would never dream of asking those maintaining and monitoring this site to serve me by attempting to monitor those contacting me.

Caretakr -> RE: Respect within the community (6/26/2006 10:17:34 AM)

To the op,with all due respect.

One can only control themselves.

For those who lack control-we can foster the indifference to punish them with lack of any response whatsoever. If enough do this, the rude ones will have no reward.

But to atempt to force compliance is a waste of time. Get over yourself if you think you can-it's not going to happen.

kittinSol -> RE: Respect within the community (6/26/2006 10:22:47 AM)

Something else occurred to me.

'Rude' rhymes with 'nude', 'dude', 'crude', 'lewd' (not a rich rhyme that one but works nonetheless) and 'fewd' (same same, not the same).

Help me make a poem, preferably in Alexandrin verses (ie. 12 feet) about the rude and the crude.

Wulfchyld -> RE: Respect within the community (6/26/2006 10:23:50 AM)

Caretakr I have been paying attention to your posts and must admit I am impressed. Welcome to CM I hope you stick around.

OP there is a report message button on the mail side of the site.

hmmmmmmm the rude crude lewd dude ogled the nude prude..........naaaaaa, I suck at this

FangsNfeet -> RE: Respect within the community (6/26/2006 12:42:13 PM)

There's nothing that I was say here that I would not say to someones face. The Truth has been known to be cuel and bluntly rude. When you try telling someone the truth in a nice way, it ends up causing more confusion and drama. I'm not here to be nice nor rude but just me. Take it or leave it sister, but telling everyone how to act on the internet is rude on its on.

Wasn't ignoring Hitler, what allowed the Germans to bomb Pearl Harbor? [;)]

*fast reply

Yet another case of a control freak who never learned coping skills in the real world using the title of  'dominant' to justify their tantrums for not having a perfect world provided for them.

Dear joyinslavery, Ladies and Gentlemen;

I identify with Old School myself however, I will state that the behavior of the original poster does not fit the general standards of behavior and or attitude.  Respect was earned slowly and patience acquired.

If indeed the original poster was Old School, I would be sincerely embarrassed by the manifested behavior and or attitude.

Respectfully submitted for consideration,
Lady Hugs

Thank you Wulf, I just try to be practical.

It saves SO much on drama![;)]

No

If we had engaged in the war before the bombing of Pearl Harbor, Japan would have attacked attacked the USA sooner.

Hitler was rude. The problem was that to many European counrtries were telling him to stop in a nice way rather than putting there foot down in a rude way before it was to late. Many people still remembered how screwed over Germany was from the after math of WWI and continued to feel sorry for the countries poverty even after France was taken over. See what happens when you put sympathy over rudeness? Good point caitlyn.

Ummm, am I the only one that noticed this or did I read it all wrong? Collarme isn't OUR community... we are guests here just like you.

You always put it so nicely LadyHugs... and, being very old school myself I couldn't agree more with what you have stated here.

I can only imagine what a newbie sub would feel like if he/she finally got the nerve (and for some of us who are shy it takes a lot of nerve) to attend a munch in the OP's "community", and then be met with the "don't speak until spoken to eyes on the floor" bit.  This is supposed to be enjoyable to all I thought and here it sounds to me like her "community" are the D/s nazis!  I operate under the assumption that all of us here are chronologically adults and should all be treated as such. I am also for subs/slaves sitting at the "big people's table" at Thanksgiving...so shoot me!

Fortunately, I can say that in all the year's I've been attending munches and events and visiting people I've never encountered that attitude on the part of any group with which I've had contact.  They may exist but I haven't met 'em.

Generally that sort of thing exists mainly in chat rooms where the kind of people with whom I associate come in, take one "look" around and walk away laughing.

"Ummm, am I the only one that noticed this or did I read it all wrong? Collarme isn't OUR community... we are guests here just like you."

I did not notice the comment myself. By the time I read the Title and the opening sentence, everything else turned into "Bla Bla Bla....."

Anyhow, that's a great response to the statement. If I remember correctly, not all our mods are dominants either. There are many subs who will only submit to one person. Also, some dominants are known to only dominate there own sub/subs and be the average Joe with everyone else. So being or posting yourself to be a Dom on this website does not add on any extra internet responsibility than a sub or switch would also be intitled to.

I agree.  And I wonder where exactly switches fit in.  What are we supposed to do, keep looking up then down, up then down?  I think I'd get dizzy after a while, and it would look goofy... kind of like a vertical tennis match.
