jlf1961 -> There are some strange people out there.... (6/2/2013 7:16:25 AM)

I was going through my email this morning, not quite awake having just woke up because a dog decided he needed to go outside and do his business.

A friend of mine sent me a series of pictures of a nude woman that he considered sexy.

These pictures shocked me awake.

First of all, I estimate that her armpit hair was maybe four inches long, and her crotch hair (I dont use the term pubic hair because it extended from her stomach to her back) was so thick that I cannot imagine how she could have gotten herself clean after going to the bathroom. I mean it was so thick it reminded me of a dog my sister had that we had to trim the fur around its anus to keep the shit from building up.

Personally, I would think that personal hygiene would dictate that all this hair be trimmed, removed or braided.

Or am I just not kinky enough?

Aghhhhh!!! I was traumatized as a young girl while on a public beach by seeing a very similar thing. A woman was in a bikini and her body hair was out of control! It was shooting out of her arm pits and attacking her breasts! It was also coming out of her bikini bottoms in ALL DIRECTIONS! I can still see it now some thirty years later and I still shudder. I will tell you though, I made the decision right then that I would never allow my pubic or arm pit hair to take over the world! Call me crazy, or obsessed, but those areas must be maintained and as beautiful as possible.

So, in answer to your question jlf1961, I don't think it has anything to do with kink. I think it has to do with cleanliness and how a woman appears to the world. I just don't happen to find excessive hair on a woman attractive. If someone else does, great for them. But for me....EWWWWW!

Paula Cole received a best new album Grammy many years ago. When she raised the Grammy, you could see her underarm hair. At a family gathering we were discussing it and I said it's cultural, my brother said, "No, it's just simple hygiene". I asked him, "Then why don't you shave yours (Pits)"? That pretty much ended the discussion.

To each their own.

pubic hair grows and spreads from the pubic area to the inner things and lower stomach. as for the armpit hair the idea of hygiene was put forth by Gillette in 1915 after winning the contract with the army to supply them with razors for soldiers and wanted to increase the sales of razors. this was achieved by 1922 after a campaign in the schools that the hair is unfeminine and unhygienic. there is nothing unfeminine or unhygienic about the hair. it is simply a matter of western culture

I remember that and the fact that it shocked me at first but only because that's not something you see on tv everyday.
I certainly don't consider it a hygiene issue for the same argument you gave and really, wouldn't it be more under body modification?

I agree that a simple amount of arm pit hair or choosing to not shave your legs or pubic hair is most likely cultural and also a personal decision. Please understand, our family is quite hairy so I have no aversion to body hair. That one experience just sticks with me. The woman I spoke of was, unfortunately, way beyond average. There would have been problems with hygiene, just by the sheer density and amount of hair. A simple wet wipe would not have cleaned up properly after using the facilities.

Don't get me wrong, the example you gave probably would have haunted me as a child as well.
I, myself, find women to be more attractive without the armpit, leg and pubic hair. That's my personal preference. And yeah, if you opt to go shave-free I would certainly hope you take extra care to make sure hygiene needs are met.

Were we on the same beach? I remember when I was 18 or so, going to the Jersey Shore. Sitting on the beach and this woman wearing a bikini is walking our way. I mean she didn't have a "bikini body," but that is not an uncommon sight on our beaches (even the men wearing those skimpy things that look so terrible). As she was walking towards us, I noticed a "shadow" on her legs. Turns out, the "shadow" was her pubic hair run amok! No lie, she had a fucking forest growing out of her bikini legs all the way to her knees!

I understand cultural differences, and I've needed to shave my legs since before I was 12 (I was actually made fun of for the amount of hair on them). But this was simply out of control!

However, as to the OP, I do understand that some are turned on by the hirsute. I was once talking to a guy that was. When he told me how much hair he liked to see growing on a woman's pubic area, the conversations between us stopped pretty quickly out of that. Not only would I not let things get like that for a guy, but it isn't even possible for me! One of the "benefits" of age and diabetes for me is that hair grows very slowly, lol.

Oh my! My beach was in Ohio. Maybe this lady traveled a lot. All I know is that it changed my personal view on body hair for life.

I think we need to track down her ISP, triangulate....and kill her.

I'm sorry....not trying to be an awful person but....from the way she was described....she could possibly be Ferrel.

(Occasionally action must be taken).

I dont want to date a werewolf.

Having said that, love makes one overlook things, sometimes.

I don't think any special hygien more than soap and water and deoderant is in order for those who choose to be super hairy over those who shave. I next to never shave my pits pussy or legs and it takes the same normal hygien that I need on the rare times I shave.

Actually, as a woman who tends to not shave in the winter as often as I should, I have to say that having hairy pits does change the hygiene needs somewhat. Different deodorants are used as well as different soaps...and I wash more often.

You see the word "love" and automatically think of attorneys! You are a very smart man.

See....and maybe it's just me but.....I think you should have written back to her thusly:

"Listen hon....I'm a huuuuuuge fan of the Planet of the Apes....really truly I am but, that whole braided thing in your armpits....well...that's just not going to work for me. Now, I must say....it's summer and, we have some time but....I find you extraordinarily valuable because, based on what I can see so far..just from your waist down, with my weaving machine (which is paid for by the way), I think if they're wrong about global warming....and indeed, the world is actually about to get colder....you've got enough going on that, with a proper razor, we'd be plenty warm even if we saw winters averaging -10 degrees for 2 months or more".

Then I would have asked for a deposit.
