joether -> Cry 'Fire' in a Crowded Theater to many times... (6/3/2013 12:01:34 AM)

...An no one will take you seriously on anything in the future!

Seems everyday, some sort of 'talking points' memo is sent out to every conservative media organization from FOX News to Prison Planet on what the current 'bashing' topics are on the President. No concept, topic, idea, or event is to petty for them to bash the president over. Even on stuff that are total lies are pushed as 'truth' and 'fact'; yet the actual truth and fact is usually found on more credible locations. Media Matters (mediamatters.org) was created to show what conservatives say is the 'truth' and what the actually facts on the issue in question.

Yeah, a few weeks of 'Benghazi' are pushed by everyone in conservative circles. That the House Republicans need to do 'anything' and 'everything' to get the 'truth' and 'facts' to the US Citizens. Yet, how many hearings were performed on the thirteen embassy attacks during the Bush Administration just a few years ago by the same House Republicans? Not a single one!

Who really takes conservative 'journalism' as being credible and honest? What sort of 'checks and balances' are in place with each of these organizations when lies are spewed for political points because the facts and truth would make the President look good? When was the last time we saw FOX News state that President Obama did a good job at something that really was a good thing for the nation? One would think even THEY would give an 'at a boy' to the President for events surrounding Osama bin Laden's removal from the world!

That is so true and one of the main reasons I don't pay much attention when I hear the left whining and moaning about their petty shit. After so many years of listening to the bullshit, it's just not worth the time any more.

I just wish we still had journalism in the US. It's refreshing to watch "the news" here in Canada and have it be kind of like actual news.

Oh the irony......

Yup, while totally ignoring the ones in your own party.

Oh the irony......

Got any names and examples of homophobia you can cite for that one?

An example of the lefts shit smelling like roses. For instance, one must be homophobic if one is against gay marriage. I know many people who are fine with homosexuals yet are against gay marriage. It's about social policy and not homosexuality per se. But that's not how the left handles it.

The left says "The answer is X"
The right says "No, it's not"
The left says "You're raciss"
The right says "How is saying X is wrong raciss?"
The left says "Because we all know X is right, therefore your denial can only be raciss"

wash, rinse, repeat.

So you can't name anybody either, then?

Anti-Gay Marriage Democrats Dig In
"After the sudden flip of several Senate Democrats from opposition to endorsement of gay marriage this week," Alex Rogers notes "the stampede may have come to an end, leaving a handful of holdouts in states where opinion still lags the national trend."

Just nine Senate Democrats remain in opposition, a core group that includes some of the party's most socially conservative members: Joe Manchin (WV), Mark Pryor (AR), Bob Casey (PA), Bill Nelson (FL), Tom Carper (DE), Tim Johnson (SD), Mary Landrieu (LA), Heidi Heitkamp (ND) and Joe Donnelly (IN).

In liberal parlance, they be homophobic.

Moonhead -> RE: Cry 'Fire' in a Crowded Theater to many times... (6/4/2013 10:01:32 AM)

Quite. Blogs are always an impeccable source for political news...

DomKen -> RE: Cry 'Fire' in a Crowded Theater to many times... (6/4/2013 11:06:15 AM)

I must have missed it, when did a liberal pol equate homosexuality with bestiality? pedophilia? Or any of the other things conservative politicians have equated with being gay in just the last couple of years?

mymymouth -> RE: Cry 'Fire' in a Crowded Theater to many times... (6/4/2013 12:49:45 PM)

As if there is a valid concern surrounding "Gay marriage". It's two people getting married.

Some examples of homophobic bigotry in my party please......?

(A rhetorical question as you never seem to speak anything truthful or relevant)

Follow the votes. There are always seems to be just enough Democrats voting to kill the special interest bills that the Democrats introduce. It really isn't much of a mystery though. Grab the credit for writing a bill, make sure the vote fails. Blame the opposition. Move onto another special interest group to curry favor with. Repeat. The Dems have been bouncing back and forth between the gays and illegals for several years, because that has been a pretty successful strategy for them. I'm constantly amazed that these little little demographic groups the Dems target are too ignorant to see whats going on.

Take Obummers first term for example. The first couple of years, the Dems had a supermajority. They controlled the House and the Senate, and of course had the White House. The Republicans, on their own, did not have the power to defeat anything. It's a problem the loonie left conveniently forgets, as it doesn't gel with their narrative that the mean old Republicans were killing all those bills. The truth is that the bills being voted on were so poorly concieved that a lot of Dems knew they couldn't support them and have a pissants prayer of reelection.

And somehow, there always seemed to be just enough Democratic votes to kill those bills too....

Which is pretty much what's been going on in Illinois. The Dems have a veto-proof supermajority in the both the State House and State Senate and the Governor promised to sign their gay marriage bill as soon as it crosses his desk, but somehow, they managed to be 12 votes shy of passing gay marriage 3 months ago.

Personally though, my all time favorite example of homophobes in the Democratic Party is Fred Phelps of the Westboro Baptist Church. Phelps is a lifelong Democrat, and has run for office several times. In 1992 he made a Senate bid and recieved over 30% of the votes in the Kansas Democratic Primary. Republicans are not allowed to vote in Democratic Party Primaries, which means that over 30% of the Democrats in Kansas supported Phelps Senatorial bid.

Here's a clue... if someone has never been even been on the ballot as a candidate, much less been elected to office, they aren't a 'liberal (or any other) pol'.

Follow the votes.

So, you foolishly believe that the only people in a political party who count are the ones who actually get elected? Interesting....

Here's a clue. In the real world the people who win primaries are chosen by the rank and file of a political party. The rank and file chooses them because they represent the beliefs and ideals of the rank and file. When 30% of the state of Kansas Democratic Party's rank and file supports one of the most reprehensible, anti-American, homophobic personalities in American history, it's pretty significant.
