Greetings and welcome ...nice intro by the way. LOL ummmmmmm 50 Shades of gray does not depick this lifestyle very well just a heads up and most here give the thumbs down on those books. There is a guy on here his name is ResidentSadist, he on the other hand has a great book list on the lifestyle that is a much better view on WIITWD. [:D] Look him up I know he will not mind. [;)] Another good place if you are into them would be munches in your area, they are not for everyone ...but one never knows till you try. [:)]
You have come to the right place to learn more about the lifestyle as there is a real good group of folks on this side with a vast knowledge about it all. Don't be afraid to ask questions, though sometimes newbies may need a thick skin here. [:D] Most here call it from the hip with maybe one or two sucker punches...and call it tough love, but its because they know what it is they are talking about. Others will be more gentle as is their nature. But please take each advice given and no matter how it comes across knowing they are sharing their knowledge with you.
Hope to see you stick around and become part of the poster here and that you enjoy your time here well doing so. Always nice to have a new face among us.
