Please help.....I am new here.  Yet everyone I chat with suggests that my pussy be shaved.  I have not done this before.  What are the best products to use - before and after?  I want to keep it smooth and hair free.  Thanks for your suggestions.

Waxing would be one way, painful but keeps the growth down for a while,  there are some  products out on the market for shaving, basiclly over priced shaving jell, soap can  cause dry skin make you more prone to the evil and ucky looking ingrown hairs,  believe it or not regular hair conditioner works the same as the  name brand  shaving jell but  a quarter of the price. You might also want to trim first with scissors if you've never shaved before. The long curlies tend to clog a razor quickly *s*. And it's always way more fun if you have someone help you with the process *g*

I have a pussy shaving story, but I am not sure if it was the best way or not. My ex sub lady came out of my bathroom with my shaving cream and razor and told me she wanted it shaved. She was always great at catching me off guard like that. I tied her up spread eagle on the bead, I took my electric hair buzzer with no guard on it and shaved her jungle like bush away. I am good with the hair buzzer because I shave my head in the summer alot. Then I took the shaving cream and started to shave her, I had a large bowl of warm water and a towel to keep the razor clean. I just took extra care like I was shaving my face. She got off on it, but I was nervous, it went well, I did not leave razor cuts.

If you can get your partner to shave you it's absolutely amazing *s*

Teetree oil is great for after shaving as it helps reduce the chances of ingrown hairs and razor burn. All mosturizors help with the dry skin etc as well.

I shave daily and have just gotten used to it. I have several suggestions for those just starting out. First off.. trim excess hair before attempting to shave. Also, soaking in the tub for about 10 minutes before hand with soften things up a bit. Use a new razor designed for women and the cream/gel that you find works best on your legs. Everyone is different. Be gentle so that you don't leave razor burn. Rinsing and starting over a few times will help. Be sure you use lots of creme/gel/conditioner. Keep up with it daily or every other day and you wont have the itchy grow back issues.

another good way is have your significante other do it for you, when i was with Master, or sometimes my husband i would shower, clean and either one of would shave me in that area. it was nice for two reasons one because of how heavy i am it is hard to reach, second it set up for a sensual evening,
for i would start with a girl bath, candles and soft new age music, once i was clean inside and out, i would towel off and make an area ready by laying out my razors, lotion, i would then lay upon the area, and Master would enter and he would do the shaving,

ahh shaving, I can't wait till I can get back to  doing that, it has gotten to hard to get to that area, since I am 7 months pregant. I am sure Master is looking forward to a smooth slave also.

Easy first step - shave and lotion.  Always use a new razor - and be gentle, not agressive with the shaving.  Great suggestion that HE shave you - very erotic.  I've been "smooth" for a while... Best tip still stands - shave gently.

i am sooo glad that i am not required to shave down there - i only bikini trim! 

i did have an accident yrs ago where i used Nair on my upper thighs and closed my legs together to wait it out.  Ended up with only 1/2 of my nice triangle when all was said and done!!  oops!

For myself I use very soft soap and so far it seems to be working. There are many threads as to this subject but the key is soft soap and a new razor and go slow if you are doing it yourself. If someone else is doing it, well, then it's heaven until the ice comes.

The best advice I can provide is to trim the hairs first, like others have suggested and take a warm bath which softens hairs.
Use a shave cream meant for sensitive areas and one that is good for reducing bumps. I would use it on legs and underarms first to be sure it is good for you. I use Aveeno Positively smooth shave gel. After prolonged use I have noticed I don't have to shave as often just as it claims and it has a pleasant fragrance. 
Stand up in the tub with one leg on edge. Pull skin taught and take long even strokes on top in a downward motion and then on your labia go from side to side (left to right when working on the left side and then alternate for other side).
Be sure to rinse the razor often and then rinse the whole area with cool water afterwards. 
When done pat dry gently and then use an unscented lotion, again one that you have used elsewhere first. I like Suave for sensitive skin, it is unscented and very inexpensive.
Also, when first beginning I don't recommend shaving every day so that your skin has a little chance to heal first prior to second shave. You can also determine how fast the regrowth is going to happen.

Do you want to shave?   or is it  because you are new and everyone  you chat with say you should be? if you don't want to Don't who are they to say what you should of should'nt be doing.
Now If you want to, lots of warm water  good n wet - good n soapy ( or use a shave cream if you'd like) use the venus razor I swear it is the best out there and no nicks or cuts - use lotion after.  Wash with a loofa it helps prevent ingrown hairs

I do waxing professionally on others, and had for a long time done so on myself, contorting like a pretzel!  I then switched to tweezing all hairs away, but found that that would give me bumps.  Now I shave, it's like a ritual

First I get a steaming hot bubble bath and sink in, I wet my head hair and put shampoo in it, while I soak the rest of me.  I wash my face then rinse my hair, all the while letting my soft bits soak up the heat from the bath.  Then I put conditioner into  my hair, it's long and curly and a pain in my rump.

Once I get the conditioner in my hair I let out some of the water from the tub or move to sit in the side and spread my HAIR conditioner onto my soft bits and spreading my legs wide, I start on my labia using short upwards strokes, rinsing the blade of my men's razor after almost every stroke, I work WITH the hair growth and I shave all over, then I rinse off completely.  After rinsing I spread more conditioner over myself and shave AGIANST the growth in small strokes.  After shaving against the growth I re-shave again WITH the direction of the growth, after wards I use the proactive cleanser from Proactive, it exfoliates.  Then I sink back into the tub, rinse my hair and my soft bits finish washing up and get out.

Once out I pat myself dry, and use the proactive lotion, it's for the face, but I don't use it there.  The lotion gives me moisture and repairs my skin, I've noticed that it also keeps a lot of bumps away.   Then before bed when i lotion my face I use oil of olay on my pubic area just to keep it extra soft.  This is the only method that has worked for me to keep me smooth, soft and virtually bump free.  Sometimes a bump will come up, but since using the proactive there, it doesn't happen often
