Itsthetruth -> Do nice guy's finish last? (6/4/2013 5:24:03 PM)

Is it true and why?

stef -> RE: Do nice guy's finish last? (6/4/2013 5:30:57 PM)

No.

SylvereApLeanan -> RE: Do nice guy's finish last? (6/4/2013 5:37:06 PM)

Define "nice guy." Are we talking about genuinely decent men who treat women as people who deserve a basic level of respect? Or are we talking about this kind of "nice guy" who is actually highly creepy and not nice at all?

searching4mysir -> RE: Do nice guy's finish last? (6/4/2013 5:57:08 PM)

Because a gentleman always makes sure his partner cums first.

SimplyMichael -> RE: Do nice guy's finish last? (6/4/2013 6:00:08 PM)

All I know is GOOD ones finish first AND last!!!

DarkSteven -> RE: Do nice guy's finish last? (6/4/2013 6:15:27 PM)

Too often some man calls himself a nice guy, and he gives off creeper vibes. The "nice guy" bit is his excuse for not having any luck with women.

That question vexed me for a number of years. My conclusion: no, but bores always do. Especially the timid and stuffed-up ones.

Itsthetruth -> RE: Do nice guy's finish last? (6/4/2013 6:16:49 PM)

I am talking about actual nice guy's.Not creepy guy's pretending to be nice.

sexyred1 -> RE: Do nice guy's finish last? (6/4/2013 6:21:04 PM)

A nice guy can finish last if you are compatible, but lack chemistry.

A nice guy won't finish last if there is chemistry and compatibility.

I think you *do* have to work at being just a tiny bit nasty, if it isn't in you naturally. You can't go around letting women knowing *entirely* where they are with you. [;)]

LadyPact -> RE: Do nice guy's finish last? (6/4/2013 6:42:34 PM)

I don't happen to think nice guys finish last. I consider My other half a nice guy. He's stuck with Me.

You can draw your own conclusions as to whether that's a good thing or a bad thing.

angelikaJ -> RE: Do nice guy's finish last? (6/4/2013 6:46:36 PM)

I don't think nice guys finish last.

Having said that, in defining a "nice guy", I do not mean a doormat.

People who allow others to walk all over them frequently feel as though nice guys finish last.

An English friend of mine used to say, "Treat 'em mean; keep 'em keen."

ETA: As for the OP's question, I wouldn't know. [:)]

Oh, I wouldn't go as far as 'mean'. Just a bit of pepper on the stew occasionally, that's all, if you catch my drift.

FR

Shy nice guys who don't put themselves out there will finish last.

Nice guys who put themselves out there won't.

This "nice guys finish last" thing really should be more like "shy guys finish last." I used to be a shy guy, and I didn't get dates. I called myself a "nice guy," and blamed my failure to get dates on that. I said that I was "nice" because I was "respecting" the girls I was interested in and not coming on too hard. Which is great...except that my version of coming on too hard was not coming on at all.

sexyred1 -> RE: Do nice guy's finish last? (6/4/2013 8:23:55 PM)

There is a misconception that nice guys don't turn women on and we all want bad boys.

That may have been a stage we all went through (some of us way too long of a stage!), but I believe most women do want a nice guy.

The thing is, it is possible to be a nice guy and a bit of bad boy in one person...I just keep waiting to find him.

Rawni -> RE: Do nice guy's finish last? (6/4/2013 8:34:29 PM)

I know a nice guy that is about to become very lucky. Or is it that he lets me think he is getting very lucky because he's a nice guy? [;)]

All I know is, he is a good guy... he didn't have to show anything, but show up and not be an idiot. I like nice guys. Some guys think they are being nice guys and they are so not nice... they then get passive aggressive, angry and lash out at women blaming them for not giving them what they want... and them finishing last, because they lacked social or personal skills to at least not act like an idiot when saying hello. They could hold a conversation without getting too serious too quickly or expecting the woman to carry them in a conversation while they sat tongue tied and waiting for her to put the moves on him.

Be proactive in finishing... something, and learn to approach those types of women that would be attracted to you. If you are sloppy in any manner and you are approaching someone that isn't sloppy... etc. then maybe you are seeking the wrong types of people that will let you finish other than an ending. For those that don't get it... If you are a one with many decades on a ten... you best have money, one killer personality or get ready to finish badly.

theshytype -> RE: Do nice guy's finish last? (6/4/2013 8:48:34 PM)

No, unless you're competing for a specific person that doesn't have a preference for a nice guy.

littlewonder -> RE: Do nice guy's finish last? (6/4/2013 9:21:42 PM)

No it's not true.

Why? Because I know a few good guys, including Master who doesn't finish last. He may not always finish at the top but it's always near the top. [;)]

I suppose it would depend on the situation and context. I've seen salespeople and politicians put out the glad hand and act "nice," but that doesn't mean they're really nice.

It would also depend on how one defines "finishing last." We don't actually finish until we're dead, and if you finish last, you can dance on the graves of all those who finished before you. [;)]
