ORIGINAL: BebeMekanic this is my first post I apologize if it is off topic. In general, introductions should go in the intro forum but, you know, it's the nature of new people to make mistakes and it's not a problem. The mods will move it if appropriate. Sometimes the people I speak here keep on questioning me about what or why Second Life, a virtual place where I started to know about BDSM and that I still like to use to experiment and have fun. I no longer fool around with BDSM there but it was where I got introduced and I still go back once every few months just to see how things have changed (some recent changes fascinate the heck out of me by the way). By the way, sometimes people here question everyone else's relationship. Hell, I'm married and I get questioned about this or that too. When people don't understand things they are likely to ... well ... not understand them. Some people react with a sense of rightness and others actually ask questions to learn and grow. Such is human nature. It is certainly true though that what I observe of BDSM in the real world bears little resemblance to BDSM on CM. Further, BDSM on Collarme bears little resemblance to BDSM on SecondLife. I think that everyone can find a way to receive pleasure even cybering or meeting in real life. There are so many reasons why someone chose one way or another, all respectable as long as you find an agreement with the person who you would like to engage. Sure, this is true. It just gets confusing sometimes because really it isn't the same thing at all but people use the same words. It became fashionable at some point to refer to your SL Partner as your "husband" or "wife". Fine, but clearly those words don't mean what they mean in the real world -- or even anything remotely close. It's the same thing here. You can be a "master" or a "slave" in SL and that's all fine and can be very rewarding. But it doesn't even remotely mean the same thing as it does here and even less what it means in the real world. I joined to collarme because I am stimulated by meeting many different people online that I find difficoult to find where I live. Aforementioned divides aside, welcome!
