Getting rid of net neutrality would I think, be self defeating, as it would get rid of one of the fundemental atttractions of the internet, for me anyway. If I couldn't connect through a ISP that believed in net neutrality, I'm not sure I would use the internet as a resource. If I have something important to say to someone now, I use the phone anyway, if I'm looking for a product at the cheapest price I will return to the phone book and the phone. I buy more than I probably would anyway because of the internet so if I thought my shopping on the internet was being compromised, I wouldn't use it. If I was searching for information and couldn't be certain I had access to all available information I think I would start going down to the public library again. Without net neutrality, the internet is no big deal and I wouldn't see it as an indisposable resource.

I think the worst would be like TV. We will free zones and then PPV crap. Just like public TV the Internet is a placebo for the masses. They control the news and propaganda and with this new development they will be able to censor our freedom and utilize more control.

This is a very serious issue.  Contact lawmakers on this one
http://congress.org   = plug in your zip code. it is free. online petitions mean nothing.

No one is too busy to contact our lawmakers.
Even if you are outside the USA. Voice your concerns.

In a few short years- this tool as we know it would be impotent. lame. nil. void. as bad as TV.  it will amount to legal highackings by the telecoms..
