Hi . . .

I'm certainly not new, but I *am* w a y o v e r h e r e in New York State.

But -- in October, I'm going to San Diego for 5 days, and it occurred to me that this might be a good chance to meet someone I wouldn't have a chance to meet normally.

So I'm mentioning it now because if you feel we might fit well, you and I can chat/email and so forth far in advance of seeing how we are in person.

Just a thought. Never know.

Never been to SD, but it's supposed to be gorgeous. And their zoo is said to be stupendous.

Nice to see you back here, Tim. All the best for a great trip!

The Zoo is great and so is all of Balboa Park. There's a lot to do here, along with a lot of D/s BDSM events.

So much to do in SD! THere's Hodad's for the best burgers and milkshakes in town. There's great summer concert series at Humphrey's. There's the zoo and the Wild Animal Park up in Escondido. Aero has a weekly munch that used to be on Wednesday. Sky diving a bit north in Lake Elsinore. Best Mexican food can be found at Hernandez Hideaway (the drive up isn't too shabby either). Hamburger Mary's for a great SUnday Brunch and Bloody Marys. The Beaches are gorgeous and if you want to get a little racy try Black's Beach. (clothing optional)

Have an amazing time and enjoy.

I miss San Diego daily!

Awww, I wanna go. There and Seattle are my top 2 places I want to visit. One of these days I'll make it to the west coast.
Enjoy your time!

It's interesting -- when I think of San Diego, the only thing that came to mind was "the zoo."

And apparently -- that's the thing to see!

The Zoo is in the middle of Balboa Park, which is like central park for us. It's a very large park with different areas, several museums and an artisans village.

The USS Midway is here. There's the Gaslamp District, Seaport Village, Sea World and Little Italy. We're the Micro Brew capital of the country, you can do tastings all over the county. Hotel Del on Coronado Island. The GIA in Carlsbad. Great beaches (although October isn't really beach season). A number of Indian Casinos in East County. The town of Julian which is an old mining town and is now famous for it's apples. Old Town has the state park and some really great restaurants. Even just taking the Coaster up and down the coast is a nice ride. There's horseback riding in East County. Polo lessons in Del Mar. The Nature Center in Chula Vista. The Cabrillo Monument. Behind the scenes tour at PetCo Park. See a Chargers game.

Hamburger Mary's is closed, and honestly, Hernandez Hideaway is great stop for a motorcycle ride, but the food is not very good. The Blue Coyote in Old Town or Fidel's In Solana Beach are much better. Lips does a great Gospel Brunch (drag queens). Of course like every city, we have a Hard Rock and a House of Blues. The Roof Deck at the Ivy Hotel is a great way to kick back.

The social at 94th Aero Squandron is the third Wednesday of the month (although my gorgeous friend Des will no longer be the hostess come October), the North County Social is the 4th Wednesday of the month. The Club X Coffee Social is in Hillcrest the first Friday of the month, the Club X Cocktail Mixer is the last Friday of the month. (The are a ton of socials and discussion groups here)

There's a lot to do here beyond the Zoo.

You can spend 3 days at the zoo and not see it all! I would roll down to Ocean Beach one evening and go out on the pier and watch the sunset...plenty of good food down there and a great place to relax...

La Jolla cove to me is a must see, take a pair of swiming goggles and within a few feet of shore you enter a whole new world...

OSideGirl gave you some great places to go!

I hope you can connect with someone as a tour guide wold be great, however...its not that hard of a city to get around in!

It won`t be your last trip...there...

It's a nice town. I hope you have fun. I hope it rains before you get there, so there will be mountains.

If you have time, I suggest taking the ferry from San Diego to Coronado Island. I fell in love with the area instantly. I didn't stay at the Hotel del Coronado (I stayed at the much more affordable Hotel del San Diego Navy, lol) but visiting it was still fun. It's quite historical.

Enjoy your trip!!
