This is a good and honest piece explaining that the problems were much deeper, including some major mistakes that all but assured mittens would lose. http://www.bostonglobe.com/news/nation/2012/12/23/the-story-behind-mitt-romney-loss-presidential-campaign-president-obama/OeZRabbooIw0z7QYAOyFFP/story.html The one big one,not introducing himself and not defining himself better......letting the President do it for him.At one point, mitt was begging th ePresident to stop talking about Bain Capital.(WTF!) In late August last year, I spent a week in Wolfeboro NH.A good and old friend of mine(who I built a house on Lake Winnipesauke for in '85') was lending one of his rental properties to the Romney campaign for free. He knows mitt. Big banner across the house, BMWs and Mercedes`cars filling the driveway, middle aged men in white dress shirts milling about, grilling some burgers, smoking and chatting. I was introduced to the head honcho, an assemblymen or something or another, a republican and a lawyer. Nice enough guy tho he had no idea I had a "bin-laden is dead, GM is alive" bumpersticker on my truck.[:D] His shpeal to me (as I ate his, errr mitt`s hamburger)and I`m not kidding, was that "nobody knew who the real Mitt Romney was" At one point, when I had a chance, I asked him politely, who`s fault was it that "nobody knew who mitt was"? A mentioned he`d been running for president for almost 7 years, the almost a billion dollars spent, the 1st go-round,etc. Why did mitt refuse to define himself during the primary? His strategy was to say/do nothing, either way, in either direction, the whole time. During the general, he flubbed, flip-flopped so many times on so many major issues, that nobody knew where he stood......on most things. All of that is all on him,not ORCA. He had ever opportunity to make his case and blew it. The stuffed shirt never answered my question.
