Woops. Well at least she figured it out. He was either really good at changing things or she was not so good at picking up personality quirks. On Facebook I will often think that sounds exactly like something my husband would say and duh he posted it. It is kinda scary for those who have ex's that would pull something like this.

Pity he didn't put half that much work into fixing the relationship while they were married. Because that took a lot of work.

Story is woefully light on details.

I agree. I would have liked to have a little more meat to the story. Still, terrible shame that she fell for it.

I know a girl who suspected her boyfriend of running around on her with a woman (maybe women - I cannot recall) that he met on a dating site. She made a fake profile that was right up his alley and he took the bait hook, line and sinker.

But I bet he would have caught on if she started saying things that someone on the internet who he never met in person wouldn't know.

I was surprised that she let some guy on the internet she had never met before talk her out of going to court on a protective order. I went through the time of trust no one on the internet and how if you met someone on the internet you did not tell anyone because that was considered dangerous at the time. Now meeting people over the internet is normal and even encouraged, but really I would never let someone I had never even met before talk me out of something like that. I thought the article made the woman seem naive.

I agree. For what little information that was in it, she did seem woefully naive. The whole talking her out of going to court is ridiculous. What kind of person would listen to someone on the internet about that? I mean even if you decide to drop it, you show up and talk to the court about it. I realize many people aren't up on legal issues, but if you took the time to file it, see it through.

Excellent. God, they knew how to do cheese in pop music in those days.
