Can anyone tell me how this forum stays so delightfully spam free? I frequent another forum (not BDSM) that just gets inundated with spam posts like a locust invasion. Maybe they could benefit from some wisdom from the kinky folks.

Dude, I'm not referring to posts by real people with content that others don't enjoy ("findoms suck!," "findoms rule!" etc.) I mean real spam, like ads for life insurance.

ok- I am not seeing ad ons such as google ads- I have a blocker on my broswer- and nothing is blocked- this tells me this site do not put that type of script on here.

Again, we're not talking about the same thing. On many boards, spammers insert their spam in the form of posts to the board. Here they somehow manage to keep that out.

so you think the moderators here have it easy....nothing to do??

They are pretty active and there are a handfull or more. This board does not run itself.

Hunkie, you are missing the point.

Baroana is commenting that since it is able to be done here, then why can't these other forums manage it as well.

I think... Im not sure on this... its just my belief... but spammers might be quickly found out and accounts deleted if they start posting to the message boards. Not to mention, they threads would not hang around for long. On top of that, this site shows up in search engines. Not many companies who like to spam want to be associated with posting on a kink site while spamming a religious one.

I can hazard a guess at a few more... but they are simply guesses.

Dont judge me because I sin differently than you.
If you want it sugar coated, dont ask me what i think! It would violate TOS.

One barrier is that you don't simply register for an account on this forum through a link as is usual for a forum. Here you have to register at collarme.com and then post on collarchat.com. Spamming is done mostly by bots, software programs, and they are built for the standard way of doing things so that twist likely stops most spammers.

Is it possible we do not have the traffic to merit such an invasion?
