Kiloco- the cameras are made possible for 5 years. via grant money After that- the tax payer will pay the fees. And I doubt there are cheap. No one has thought this out.

Locally the violate sunshine laws- meet in private- things are already decided before the public is there- roberts rule of order is broken-

lawsuits in the millions are about to fly- most the city council could end up in jail- I know more what is going on here then the newspaper.

There are other details-- but you get the jist. This mayor needs to GO. The cameras are a small part of the discourse- the frack dump is the big issue- and pay offs siezing peoples houses and corrution- eminent domain abuse. Like I said- a few should end up in jail.

We spent millions $ on our river front- we are a fishing and boating destination. and now we are also a frack dump- the fish have some kind of cancer- and no one know why-

and get this- all of a sudden it is illegal to ride a bike along the river! No one knows who decided this- but signs showed up- next the cameras go in- and guess who is going to get busted? ME. I live on the river- and I cant ride my bike to the store, after I the tax payer (I own) helped pay to fix the river up- AND we are a recreation destination??

Well, legally it may be okay that things are decided in non-public. There are reasons for that. And not all proceedings follow Robert's Rules. Again, maybe they have to where you are, but here they can choose to or not, as long as their practice is stated.

If they are meeting in private about things that they shouldn't be, you can most definitely bring them tumbling down on that, even if nothing else. I'd join in if I lived where you are. I need a good fight.

Things at the county level are bad too- and at a recent city meeting a controversial county commission showed up to support the mayor. Some of us are like WTF??? Why is the county electionering for the mayor?

My back is messed up. I have multiple injuries- on some days I can actually ride the bike- I use it to do errands. I save money by not driving this way. It gives me exercise. I can not walk the distance that I can bike. I do not loiter, trespass or wreck things when I bike.

Right now- no one is going to arrest me- but the point is- I could be arrested due to the signs.

Our mayor is more of a dictator. He thinks he is the king. We booted him out once before- As per link above- we are close to critical mass. As I mentioned our newspaper is owned out of NY- and NY has put pressure on reporters to tow their line FOR FRACKING.

The 23 acre frack site is along the river- and a flood put it in the river should we have a flood. It also is in a residential houses.

For now we paused it- but every night 50 trucks would rumble past my house over night. The noise and dust was terrible.

Contact other small local communities and band together over common issues. Support each other at each others city counsel meetings and rallys, help each other canvass, etc. If you do it well, try and get a bigger news venue to make a story of that even if your local paper won't.

Damn. I hope your bike has a bell. And is registered. And that you never take your hands off the handlebars. And that you never " propel such bicycle abreast or to the left of any other person so propelling a bicycle, except in passing such bicycle."

you know what the kicker is- selective enforcement. I have a neighbor who has a bad sidewalk- nothing is said about it- yet if mine is bad- even one tile the code guy would be here.

The bike thing is an example of the mayor run amuck. if everything is illegal- why bother even obeying?

per capita - our corruption is worse then philly and chicago.

Start your own broadcast station. If you cannot afford your own website to broadcast - but you may if you acquire some local advertisers or sponsors - then simply dump your recordings on Youtube.

These things are easily doable - they just require manpower.

Yes-- BTW- the mayor tried to ban cameras from city meetings -but the outcry was too loud. Meetings are posted to youtube. We send one of our guys to both city and county meetings as you know the official recordings may or may not be available for anyone to see.

Well, I would hope there would be outcry. The public is specifically allowed to record. What could be his legal basis for banning cameras?
