Virginia will host its first statewide elections since the presidential election. The Republican Party chose candidates including E.W Jackson, who has called gay people "psychologically sick" and "perverted" and wrote in his 2008 book that yoga leads to satanism. Virginia Republicans also chose state Sen. Mark Obenshain, who in 2009 introduced a bill requiring Virginia women to report miscarriages to police within 24 hours, as its attorney general candidate.

Maddow also mentioned that Reverend Doctor Joe Ellison, Jr. became the Republican Party's new director of African American engagement in Virginia, the pastor who defended Pat Robinson's 2010 comments that voodoo caused the earthquake in Haiti.

"This is not the Beltway Media narrative about what is going on in Republican politics right now, but it is exactly what is going on if you watch how they behave, and who they are, and what they say in public. Virginia will be the first whole statewide elections we've had since the presidential election and this is who the Republican party has put together as their best face in that state," Maddow said.

You mean they found out that the people who dont vote for Republicans have found the necessary spells to call forth the Old Ones that the historian H. P. Lovecraft spoke of?

I saw something like that. It was a list of what they consider to be satanisms ( if that's a word) and Harry Potter was on that list as well as yoga. Really? Harry Potter?! Wow.

This would all be very funny if it weren't so true :(
This is the sort of thing we laugh at when it happens in India or the Phillipines. But it's not supposed to be like that here in the US.
Virginia: You have my sympathies.

There are conflicting opinons as to Yoga leading to satan or to god...
