----SPOILER ALERT-----

Harry dies from autoerotic asphyxiation and Hermione drops her vibe in the tub right as she's about to orgasm, electrocuting herself.

Sincerely,

J. K. Rowling

How was that a spoiler?

You forgot that Ron dies trying to get assfucked by that magical unicorn though.  Turns out it was a slut and gave him every disease known to man.

Yours,

benji

Apologies but im finding it amusing that peeps keep popping in and are mortified that harry may die. Its a book - its not real lol.
And as for magic rats - benji they dont exist but i do know of a good sacrificial pooch.

We know it is not real--we know it is "willing suspension of disbelief" but that ability to dive into another world and just be in a place so engrossing, whether it is by a Bronte, Shakespeare or Rowling is a wonderful gift.  And learning that other people have the same vulneratiblities, difficulties, fears, makes our own a little easier to bear.  I'm sort of a grownup (34, but I sometimes feel more like 14), but I still love dipping into that magical world.  Kids have grown up with these characters more real than anyone on the news, and probably more real than all but a handful of closest friends and families.  I was shaken when ********* died in the 6th book, and other grown ups I know were also shaken.  Kids were even more so.  When art is good to mirrors back parts of our souls we didn't know existed and make it OK for us to let those areas of our lives be more acceptable.

I love my Harry Potter.  It was quite an accident originally.  I accidentally left behind my reading material on a family drive to Florida several years ago, and I borrowed my brother's copy of the first book (which I swore I'd never read).  Now I'm an addict.  I'll admit I cried when Sirius and Dumbledore died.  I doubt Dumbledore's really dead, though.  I have a tendency to throw myself wholeheartedly into books.  A good book becomes like a close friend, really... one you can always count on.  I hope they don't kill anyone else off.  I like happy endings.  But hey, just because two more characters will die doesn't mean it has to be the good guys.  It could be Voldemort and Draco Malfoy.  I bet they kill Malfoy and make you feel bad about it, like he could have turned out better or something.  They're already alluding to that in the sixth book anyway.

Well, for the series to actually end, Voldemort will have to die.  Evil must be conquered.  Of course, he could be left alive and Harry killed, which leaves room for more books that aren't Harry Potter.  I've always thought that once Harry completed his studies, he'd be given the Defense Against the Dark Arts post.

What's the worst thing about a book in which two Harry Potter characters die?

They could have killed off 10.

NO! Not Malfoy!! I don't care if he's supposed to be a wanker... He's legal now... and I've got the hots for him.
