One of the fantasies I have is dog training... but it seems to me quite difficult to realize it in real life... I wanted to know if someone here had experience of it and how did he/she managed to realize it... Thanks to everyone who'll answer :)

I don't believe there's anyone currently active on colllarchat who's into any sort of pet play.

But I've known some who are into puppy play, kitty play, pony play, wolf play, fox play, hucow, etc. Pony play and hucow are the hardest because you need a bunch of equipment.

Why is puppy play difficult to realize? Have the slave get naked and on all fours. Give her dog food (or granola for non-purists) in a bowl, along with water in a bowl. Have her fetch a stick several times and rub her tummy "good girl". Unless you buy tails and special gloves that force her hands into paws, it's not expensive.

Hubby was doing puppy play with one of the girls at one point. It was entertaining. She had the whole get up. My profile pic on fet life has her in some of her puppy gear.

I saw something on that show "Taboo" on National Geographic about that guy who actually was basically living his life as if he was a real "dog". Not my thing. I know I am a human being and I prefer to keep it that way! Although,I do sort of enjoy "pony play" with Dommes but that's different. I know I am not a real pony and I don't think Mother Nature made any mistakes either.

I have had both ponies and pets.

Pet and pony play is usually a form of objectification and it is very simple, treat your submissive as you would your dog, kitten or a pony. Puppy play and kitten play is a little focused more on affection exchange, where pony play or dog training is focused a little more on the performance and reward. Like dressage with a pony or a working dog that does tricks, fetches or attacks on command. An attack dog can be loads of fun playing with your friends, at events and parties.

You can start up rather cheaply, a couple pet toys, a dog dish and some dog food (or canned hash) and some treats. Treats can be bits if candy or dog treats, which ever you prefer. Milk Bone brand biscuits don't taste bad, They taste like a soda cracker. A portable folding water dish is nice when going to parties and events. Masks are a lot of fun and add to the allure of it too. I like removing the human face and replacing it with my favorite animal face. It is kinda hot and Halloween masks are real cheap.

If you find you like it and want to invest further in it, they sell nice leather and latex puppy/dog masks that cost from $200.00 - $400.00 (USD). They are extremely sexy and you can buy them at most high end BDSM shops. JT's Stockroom has some that are two tone. They also have puppy mitts and a cage. LINK (type "puppy" in the search box)

I like using a cage. I have a converted vertical cage with floor padding that I panted Ferrari red and laid it on its side. It works out well. I love hearing my pet drink from the water bottle. Whenever I hear the metallic 'tink-tink-tink' sound of the ball bouncing in the tube it gets me hot.

A lot of my friends just use regular dog cages. You can readily find a nice big one used in the paper or craig's list. My friend got his wire crate cage for about $50.00. New they only cost about $200.00. Petsmart cages

There are some puppy play books available at Purple Passion in NYC so you can read up on it. I imagine shipping would;t be too prohibitive. BOOKS

I started by taking my human pet to Petsmart (the local pet store) and had her remain speechless. She was allowed to nuzzle the things she was interested in or even whine. BTW, they have nice elevated dog dishes for big dogs. Very comfortable for human pet to eat out of.

You won't find a lot of books about dog training but the attitude is almost similar to pony play. The difference between dog training or pony play are the same as real life. One is livestock, the other a working domestic pet. If you can teach your dog tricks and reward her for her performance, you're on your way to a great experience. Play fetch, teach her to roll over and give her some treats for being a good dog. Feed her. Let her lick you in gratitude. Hope you have fun!!!

I am definitely interested in obedience training a slave. And I also am interested in creating a pup thru hypnosis.

There are a few pets on CM, just not a lot of threads about it. But I'm guilty . . . I love it and invested a bit of time and money in it.

RS, your the "go to" guy here on Collarchat when it comes to history of Fetish and knowledge about different fetishes. I certainly see nothing wrong with pet play. I think that guy on "Taboo" took it to a another level. While the show did say there are many into "pet play", this particular guy I feel really believed "Mother Nature" screwed him over and he should have been born a "dog'". That's all I was saying to that. But "pet play" itself, I can certainly see the interest behind it.

I do puppy and pony play. Sadly, I'm not as elaborate as RS, but PetsMart and the like actually work great for my puppy needs.

Am I the only one who reads "dog training" as different than "puppy play?" I'm a behaviorist, and I've trained real dogs. I've also trained people using the same conditioning strategies. I don't aim to waste my time and yours if this is not what you had in mind.

I don't think one excludes the other. I know it doesn't with me.

And having had horses, I disagree that they are only livestock. Ours were companion animals as well as show animals. I've known show dogs who were also companion animals, well loved pets. There's no reason to relegate either one, or a human pretending to be one, as only one or the other. They can be both.

RS, your the "go to" guy . . .

Actually, when it comes to pet and pony play, my level of involvement and investment is just at the high end of the beginners level and not very intense compared to my friends. I'm glad I have some photos and experience I can share about my beginner's level experience for his beginners questions. We have some genuine "go to" guys here on CollarMe, one of which owns a pony ranch with stables and hosts world renown pony events. Another contributed subject matter to the book The Human Pony: a handbook for owners, trainers and admirers by Rebecca Wilcox.

My level of financial investment is at the high end of entry level, that latex pony gear only cost about $1,200.00. You can pay about that for a custom set of hooves. Then add head gear, harness, saddle, yoke, bit, tail, reigns and a carriage . . . and if you're poly and have a team of ponies, your rig is gonna' cost you as much as a car. Not to mention your own leather riding outfit.

Nonetheless, I have HUGE kink lust for human dogs . . . In 2008 a movie called Tokyo Gore Police came out and there is an amputee dog girl in it that drives me out of my mind with lust. Dog Girl Video Clips . . . when I grow up I want a doggy like that!!!

I know the OP asked about beginner stuff but he seems happy with the replies so far. It would be nice to hear from some of you experienced kennel Maters and Mistresses and get a good dog thread going.

Here's my break with puppy play: Anyone whose had an actual puppy knows they are a lot of work. They need near constant attention and supervision. Whiny, bitey, selfish pee-tanks. But they are cute....

I guess I prefer "dog" play. I want the bottom to be obedient, well trained, and confident. But so many bottoms play the role as push-over baby dolls. That's not a dog! I like my dogs with character! My dog will growl at you with its rump in the air if you waggle toys at it. My dog jumps on me when I come home. My dog takes initiative and asks for what it wants... and is not afraid to ask by scratching or indicating. I don't want some bottom with big doe eyes looking up at me awaiting my next command (unless I call for its attention). My dog hops on the sofa and lays her head on me when she wants to be patted. My dog doesn't ask for permission to drink from her bowl.

Admittedly, this can be harder for the bottom. It takes a lot of work to be in character if she's naturally a more docile "do whatever you want to me" pillow princess sort of bottom. Or a no-nonsense "strike me, pierce me, suspend me" power bottom. I submit that good puppy play gives the dom a break so he can enjoy his animals either leisurely or actively. And the dog is psyched to be part of either. That's why they are a man's best friend.

Why do you need to hypnotize the willing into doing something they enjoy?

I would suggest that was his attitude until the fridge was empty & rent was due. To even vocalize that feeling in interview form, he obviously wasn't a dog the way he was claiming.
Too often (especially on here) there are subs desperate for 24/7 caged slavery constantly in (insert flavor here) fetish mode. Its all well & possible if they can find someone wealthy & into objectification enough to pay their bills.

I would say a great deal of dominants require some kind of return on their investment. If a human was lounging about all day then expected me to buy all their toys, food & medical care, clean after them, transport them & show them affection I would severely question who was in charge of our arrangement!
The only reason the 4 legged furry bastards in my home get away with it is because they provide community services &l income.

I saw the sweetest pony boots in Raleigh, NC, years ago and they cost that much then.
