I read an interesting thread by nicebutmeangirl in which she asked what subs want from a Mistress... so I thought to ask it also about Masters... what kind of Master would you like?

Himself is kind, patient, considerate, and loving. He tells me he loves me several times a day. He's also firm, stable, and can be stubborn as a rock. He has a direction he wants us to go in, and he's moving us forward. He's capable of seeing and using my strong points so we can move towards that common goal. To me, he is a great example of the iron fist inside the velvet glove. Sweet as can be, but you don't cross him. He is sexy as all hell, has a great sense of humor, and is actually smarter than me. As a person, I respect him, b/c in many ways he's better than me. I don't mean as a human being, I mean, he's more evolved in ways that I'm not. So he has a positive effect on me. He has inspired my submission and my obedience. He's my husband, my lover, and my best friend.

I will admit I dobt know the difference between a dom and a master,but its always the same. Honesty. No mind fucks. You need to be able to dominate me, but I should want you to. Someone who is honest with strong morals and ethics. Someone who keeps his word and doesn't give it if he can't keep it. Someone I enjoy being with. Just like in the real world.

Someone whom makes me naturally feel submissive towards him and crave for him. Someone who knows how to control me and play my strings, doesn't go into a kiddy tantrum when he can't get what he wants from me, will plot, plan and know how to handle me to get what he wants. Honest, open, patience, sense of humour, a genuine love and respect for each other is all important too.

Someone who "gets" me. Someone who is grounded in reality, follows his moral code and wont break that, even for me. Honest, sincere, intelligent. Hard working. Romantic with just a hint of sadism... more mental than physical. Strong without being domineering. Patient. Kind. Firm. In control. But he MUST have a wicked sense of humor too. [:D]

Hi In a Dominant of either gender I would want someone who is better than me, one that I will be beneath even if I stand up and is the best that I am. I would want one who is intelligent and kind but who can be cruel when he want to. I want a man, or a woman with a very dominant personality who know what they want and have that tone in their voice that say you just can not refuse them. I want someone who have similar interests as myself, who like science fiction, fantasy and horror and who can talk about such things for hours. I would also want them to be interested in the occult since that is such a big part of my life. Kink wise I would like a sadist. I am not a pain slut, I do not enjoy pain, but I enjoy the fear of pain and I enjoy suffering for someone else's pleasure. I would like someone who are into dehumanizing me and humiliation and who would make me feel like an object to be used but who at the same time make me feel loved and protected. I want someone who when he look at me I know I am beautiful in his eyes. Now that is for a long term Master or Mistress to serve, for a play partner I am okey with about anything as long as they are sane and will respect my limits. I wish you all well

I have been lucky enough to have what I wanted in a master from two men, who are totally different, so a laundry list of what I want is going to be very contradictory. Perhaps the best description is that he knows who he is and what he is. If he knows who he is, he can know what and who he wants from a partner. Since I am a follower (with an opinion), my wants can change. My need is to have a strong partner who sees where he is going.

What kind of Master would I like? Hmmmm... someone who is actually capable of having a conversation with me, and has at least some similar interests as mine. Someone who is self-respecting, confident, doesn't suddenly switch, honest and trustworthy. There are so many thing but those at the top of the list. :)

He walks the walk, not just talks the talk. He has mastered himself and makes the right choices for mind and body. He inspires me to want to please him and to try to think of new ways of pleasing him. He knows He is in control; He never raises His voice to make a point- He doesn't have to. He controls with voice, hands, mouth, but mostly mind. Toys are optional. He cares about His ownership of me everywhere, not just the bedroom (or dungeon, for that matter). I trust in His judgement. And, even when I don't agree, I yield because I know to my bones He would never make a decision that would harm me. (Hurt me, well, that's another story...) He holds me when I cry. And sometimes fucks me while I'm crying, just cause it turns Him on. He's Dominant because that's who He is- it's not a game or a kink.

What I wanted from a Master/Dom was someone who could guide me, help me improve, be my friend and most of all be there whenever I needed Him whatever the reason. I am lucky I found such a man and he is my Dom but I am also lucky to know someone else just like my Dom who has been my friend for many years and is seeking a sub to be His. a man that i will respect and that will impose respect on me, whenever i feel silly or forgets myself around him. Someone that i will stand by and who will stand by me no matter what happens, a friend, an accomplice, someone who will understand my flaws and try to get them in check, if not improve them, someone to lean on and to trust. Someone who mastered himself first, who understand discipline and protocol and knows what he wants, someone who doesnt play with me and my head. Someone who considers sex to be important, but less important then connection and shared values in a Relationship.
