Jean Stapleton, Edith From All In The Family, Dies At 90
Jean Stapleton, the actress who played Archie Bunker's better half, has passed away at the age of 90.
Stapleton died on Friday of natural causes at her New York City home surrounded by freinds and family, her children said on Saturday.
"It is with great love and heavy hearts that we say farewell to our collective Mother, with a capital M," said her son and daughter, John Putch and Pamela Putch, in a statement. "Her devotion to her craft and her family taught us all great life lessons."
Stapleton received 8 Emmy nominations and won 3 times during her 8 year tenure with All In The Family.
