So what are things you have seen on facebook that make you laugh, facepalm or just wonder about the future of humanity?

I was scrolling today and found a picture of spaghetti with a recipe. Interested I clicked since it was a one pot without boiling noodles. There was a huge fight going on in the comments over no wheat vs low carb with a few comments of OMG I can't believe there is this big of a fight over a freaking recipe. OY

Then a friend posted this and I laughed so hard while wishing I could have see this.

So it turns out that peacocks make the most awful noise on earth when unintentionally run over with a double stroller. And my son ever so kindly SCREAMED loudly enough for the whole zoo to hear, "Mom, did you JUST RUN OVER THAT POOR PEACOCK????"

I have one niece who prays on Facebook every day ... Which normally wouldn't bother me except that she does it in such a way as to show everyone who reads it what an amazingly wonderful and pious Christian she is, unlike all the other heathens in her life and how the only reason she has the strength to get through her day is because she says all these prayers on Facebook. Evidently God surfs the interwebs in search of the holy.

And I feel like a bad person admitting this, but I totally munch popcorn whenever I see people get into a fight over so-and-so's latest relationship exploits. They say things to each other on Facebook that they would never, ever say in a face to face conversation.

If that were one of my friends, I'd be sorely tempted to post a simple comment: Matthew 6:5-6.

5 “When you pray, don’t be like the hypocrites. They love to stand in the synagogues and on the street corners and pray so people will see them. I tell you the truth, they already have their full reward. 6 When you pray, you should go into your room and close the door and pray to your Father who cannot be seen. Your Father can see what is done in secret, and he will reward you.

One gal is a publicist, a few are truckers- one guy should be in AA. The truckers are the funny ones. Posting about hot woman- a few of them I flirt with. Just about every night for a week- I broke up with myself- the wall loves it.

Watching my cousin and his adult daughter fight on Facebook like the Hatfields and McCoys. I only ever friended them because they are family. After that though I was too embarrassed to keep them as friends.

I hide people like that. I have to still deal with that crap though since my daughter loves sunday school so I will give in and take her. I am so jaded by the church in general I spend the entire time wondering why I bothered since I have nothing in common with these people then they get up and make themselves sound so good compared to the wretched people not in church. Then I get mad at their superiority that by the time I walk out I am so mad I am shaking.

Yes! Then a trucker body lives his dating life online- he is going to meet the girl of his dreams... each time I know what is coming- and in the end it does.

Then a local kid who likes to party too much was back and forth break ups with a girl he wanted to marry- after months of back and forth- quietly watching- after months of this recent get back togeher- I posted it wont last. She gets all mad calling me names- when she called me some names I told her I was going to introduce her "fiance" to my niece who is a nurse. She got more mad and told me she is not afraid of going back to jail. So now all of us have each other blocked and deleted-- a week ago he made a pass at my gal friend in the store he works at- she is old enough to be his mom- almost his grandmother- adn that kids of flirting- yeah- drugs and the marriage will work out- sure it willlllllllllllllll

just says christian church on the sign. There is a baptist one up the road that also does kid stuff but from what I hear they are not any better. I end up taking my kindle with me so I can read during church and my daughter can have fun. Thats how they hook ya they make it really fun for the kids so they harass their parents until they take them.

I hate seeing kids posing like they are hookers, I wanna slap the shit outta their moms for allowing it.

I hate the ads for the games.

My generally hopeful outlook on humanity isn't damaged any further by Facebook than it is right here on Collarchat.

My best friend found her 14 year old daughter had made a second facebook and was posting pictures 14 year old girls should not be posting and talking to 18 year olds in Kansas City and handing out her address if they wanted to come and hang out. Ha she thought she would be slick thinking her mom wouldn't find out but she kept seeing her new facebook pop in in people you might know and clicked on it. I have never seen her so pissed off before, as far as I know she is still not allowed near a computer.

Personally, I'd be REALLY pissed off if I was corresponding with someone and they lied about their age to make me think they were a legal adult.

Right! That gets so many people into trouble. When my husband was in the military while we were dating his best friend got into trouble for dating a 14 year old girl. My friends daughter wasn't lying about her age though, just trying to be sneaky with her mom.
