The Hallmark Channel just recently moved The Brady Bunch from 5-8pm to 2-4pm on June 10, but now after two weeks in that block...it is going to be removed. Maybe the Brady kids got in trouble for playing ball in the house? Starting Monday, June 24, 2013, The Hallmark Channel will remove the two-hour Brady block and add an extra episode each of drama staples The Waltons and Little House on the Prairie, so both of those dramas will now air three hours in a row instead of two hours. The Waltons will now air from 2-5pm, while Little House on the Prairie will air from 5-8pm. The Brady Bunch will now join Happy Days on shows placed on hiatus. Both series joined the network in January. No word on if and when The Brady Bunch will return, but it is not on the schedule elsewhere on Hallmark either. Oh, Mike. The rest of the Hallmark Channel line-up will remain the same as it is now.

I dont think they should pull it. The % of comedies they have on is too low. I like to watch comedys such as the brady bunch. In case you are wondering susan oleson does not get royalties- which in itself is shocking

I am still mad about this!

freedomdwarf1 -> RE: brady bunch pulled off air (7/14/2013 8:41:11 AM)

I never liked them as a kid.
Now decades later, I like them even less.

I groaned when they decided to show the re-runs in the first place!

It isnt so much this show- but the cheap cable package could contain more of the classic sit coms.

Their in trouble for trying to say that you could put two families together like that and they all get along just peachy! LOL

I feel for ya hunky. Maybe if enough people complain they will put it back.

I limit myself to 2 hours a day- of tv- as I see it at the neighbors. She does not want me watching racy stuff- so it has to be G rated. Which can get sort of boring- on the other hand- 2 hours is too long in the nice weather to waste on TV.

DesFIP -> RE: brady bunch pulled off air (7/14/2013 2:07:59 PM)

I watched last night's Salvage Dog's this morning. I love watching them walk into a place and find weird stuff.

I'm pretty sure you can get Brady Bunch and alot of other shows at IMDB and if not you can definitely get them for free on hulu. If all else fails you can probably get them on youtube. You wouldn't believe what I got off of youtube. To actually download it without the commercials and shit you need the right software but I can tell you where to get it. I got some shows stored up in case someone's over and we want to watch shit and the network acts up or some shit. You basically need two peices of software but bear in mind, as far as I know, NOTHING can get you anything off IMDB or hulu, youtube and wimp and others are where to download them.

Hunky if you got 98 or better and a good browser with the flash plugins you can watch a whole lot of shit. If you are into TV let me give you the DIRECT links. They make you fuck around to get to these although you can get to them from just putting in hulu or imdb, this will save you much frustration :

http://www.hulu.com/browse/tv?src=topnav

http://www.imdb.com/features/video/browse/tv/

Not all eps depicted are free, but on hulu you can tick the box that says free right above the "filmstrip" (of course after choosing the show). Hulu will load the whole alphabet if you don't click a letter. When you get to the bottom it loads more all the way to "Z". Once you click on a show then you get the eps.

I have found youtube to be even better actually but it is tricky to search. I can throw ya a couple of pointers on that too, believe me I wipe my ass with TV and cable now.

T^T

They killed The Brady Bunch?

...

NO! Uh-uh! IT didn't happen! God dammit, why does stuff like this happen? I didn't even know it was on and now I'll probably NEVER have the chance to see them again.

You know, frankly, I'm having a tough time getting bummed out about this. Though I do miss the shirts.

Zonie63 -> RE: brady bunch pulled off air (7/15/2013 6:06:43 AM)

I stopped paying for cable TV a while back. Now, I just have an internet connection and a Roku box to get Netflix, Amazon, and other streaming video. I get news and other information from the internet.

I had the same frustration with these cable networks. They would cancel shows, switch the schedule. The cable company would drop good channels and add crappy channels which show nothing but infomercials all night and still pile on the commercials during the regular programming. Why would I want to pay so much every month just for commercials and sub-standard programming? A waste of money.

YouTube has a lot of episodes of The Brady Bunch. I enjoyed watching it as a kid, and I still might watch an occasional episode now and again.

When I was little I had asthma horrible. I was in the hospital several times a year until my teens when it settled to this milder version I have. I didn't mind it too much, they had those little personal TV's and they had cable. Back at home we only had local stations. My grandma's and the hospital were the only two places I got to see it.

What a great post!

I have seen every episode many times- more of the classics could be shown- Gilligans Island- some of those episodes were fun.

When I watch tv/video- I seldom watch news. I prefer news in text format. Also- I dont want to waste 2 hours on a movie that was not any good.
