The clan hates non-whites, Muslims, Jews, native Americans, whites who marry non whites, anyone that is not southern baptist, any one that is pro choice (unless they are prochoice for non whites) basically anyone that is not an inbred redneck jackass. So the "Enemies of Israel" makes me wonder.

yah but its a great plug for the government keeping ya all safe and cozy, even though when something does happen and you expect compensation instead you get the big fuck you because the citizen contract is dead and gone with the constitution and the government has no duty to protect by supreme court decision. some awesome doublethink that continues to be promulgated upon the american public

I had no idea that the Klan had the mental capacity to do anything aside from march, yell about how put upon the white race is and set crosses on fire. Somehow, I just can't see anyone remotely related to the Klan that could build anything that didn't blow up in their face!

I never called them Ultraconservative, ignorant, or narrow minded. If I would have used the terms you used, I would have to include, Rush, Alex, Beck, everyone at FOX news, the tea party, and my neighbor's cat. (The damn thing actually listens to Rush daily. My neighbor does to, but he then posts the actual facts on a webpage. I think the cat believes rush though)

I object to your title: "The Klan was building a WMD?" It was not "The Klan". It was one KKK member and an accomplice. I am not saying that the KKK are a misunderstood, peace-loving group, but that is like saying *all* Muslims are terrorists, when someone affiliated with Islam engages in acts of violence or terrorism.

Okay, I give you that. But can you explain the fact there are a lot of hate crimes laid at the feet of clan members? It has been my experience that the clan are more overt in their actions, this entire episode is a little too covert for the clan.

I'm not really certain from the article, but my sense is that they could have been talking about "Israel" in the theoretical, Biblical sense, as some extreme Christian groups declare themselves as the "true Israel" while viewing the present day nation-state of Israel as being some kind of pretender. So, when they say "enemies of Israel," they could have meant another kind of Israel, not the one in the Middle East.

I hadn't thought of that but their is a movement called Christian Identity which is a big part of the white "separatist" movement. Christian Identity followers believe that white Europeans are the true Israelites. That might very well be what the Klansman was talking about.
