Disabled Americans earning less than $7.25/hour.

In an age when charities pay their CEO's and upper management six figure salaries plus benefits; they cant seem to find the resources to pay the lowest worker among them! This is disgusting, dishonorable, dishonest, cheap, and slimy! This is what happens when we allow deregulations to take place. This is what happens with we allow Congress not to serve our desires, but the desires of the 1%.

The only bills that can pass the US House of Representatives are 'symbolic' rather than 'useful'. Removing these loopholes would be a very useful thing for Americans.

Did you read some of the replies at the end of the article?

I didn't read them all, stopped when one argued that disabled people get SSI or SSD and so the low pay isn't that much to cry about because, by making so little, it doesn't affect their government check or medicaid. But if somebody isn't even making $1 an hour, they're still not earning enough to reach the $65 threshold that they "keep" before any SSI funds are taken away from them. And after that $65, an SSI recipient only loses $1 for every $2 earned. (In PA there is an additional $20 that can be earned before there is any money taken from SSI checks). SSD runs on a totally different formulation that has little to do with how much is earned and has more to do with hours worked, etc.
