Because a unicorn is hard to find, that is the way I have always used the term...meaning anything that is hard to find. So when ever I have used the term here that is what I am refereeing to anything hard to find. Today I have learned that the term unicorn here in the life style means..... "unicorn" generally refers to a bi female willing to join a couple."

My question is.... is that bascially the only way that the term unicorn is used in the lifestyle? If that is so, then I apologize for using it wrongly so many times.

That is the way I have seen it used and have used it... except for that time... um... when I was using a horn uniquely.

Well, I'm not too sure any of us really enjoy being wrong.......

In poly speak, a unicorn is a submissive bisexual female who is willing to join a couple and be a part of their household. They get called unicorns because, supposedly, they are hard to find.

On the other hand, as a straight chick who is one half of a D/D couple, I've had more chicks come and find Me than I'd even want to put down here. If I were bi and we were willing to "share" the authority over a submissive, I'd have had it made.

I agree with what everyone has said.

The basic concept for the term unicorn in any subculture is the same, something very hard to find, if not impossible.
