Has anyone ever used humour within a scene or session?

Years ago I knew a woman that was going thru a hard time and needed some severe treatment at her request (pain vs mental anguish). She was experienced and established within the community so this was not a newbie approach.

I agreed yet during the session I somewhat turned the tables an began using verbal humor to what was physical harshness. It was a total mindf*ck for her as she expected the harshness to include the related verbage that she was use to.

We later talked and she admitted she was taken off balance as she did not expect that sort of approach.

Anyone else ever do something that was verbally or physically diametrically opposed to the other in a session or scene?

Did you find it effective?

What did you like about it or not like about it?

Loki has a sick, twisted sense of humour, and many times, during "play" he will come up with something that is so off the subject at hand (no pun intended) that it will completely crack me up.  It relieves tension and deepens the bond I feel with him when he does this, laughter is indeed good juju.  For me, the unexpected surprise is a lovely thing, and yes, very effective. I would venture to say though, that some may be unnerved by it.

Oh, definitely.  If you and your partner are not able to step back and laugh at yourselves and your relationship good naturedly, and just laugh together in general, then an element of healthy interaction is missing.  As LokisBrat says, it deepens the bond between two people to be able to laugh and really play together.  Sex, and even BDSM should be fun and enjoyable.  It needn't be all deadly serious.

Humor is very important to me. I need an owner who does not take themselves so seriously and humor is a great way to show that. Plus how can laughter be bad, most of the time ;). So in a session is perfectly fine. Maybe not for the majority of a session but being disciplined with the owners natural personality and not some made up act just adds to the pleasure and I for one like owners who have a sense of humor.

I can cluck like a chicken and flog at the same time. Having a sub mew like cow can be humorious as well. Other than that, clowns are known to be kinky. Perhaps you should dress up as one.

I'm still wating to see a MIME act involving a BDSM scene. I hear they are funny to watch.

You have to love someone with a sense of humor. I know I do. I love being able to kick back and relax and joke and have fun with my Master/Daddy. It's a good stress reliever for me. Although if Daddy/Master started clucking during a flogging scene or something I don't know if i would be able to concentrate on the scene at hand.

What she said... It's all about my amusement and enjoyment. I don't know about hilarity, but there is definitely whimsy when I play with my submissive or puppy.

Can't believe I'm going to admit it on a public thread but....since you brought it up first....

Master made me moo - once.  It was in the heat of a very intense orgasm and I was off in subspace.  "Mooooo-----" and then my voice cracked.  I sounded like a cartoon character.  I laughed hysterically.  I don't think that was the humiliation he was going for...

Yes but have you ever flogged a submissive with a rubber chicken?  ;)

Sure.  If you have someone in bondage and standing over a towel,
tickle them or make them laugh so hard that they pee all over
themselves.

So tickling would accomplish that letting them go of bodily functions but do you think they might find that embarrassing  and the humor would quickly dissipate?

How else would you make them laugh without physical contact?

The one and only time I was with a Pro Domme was quite light hearted. She sensed my nervousness while we conversed before our meet and told me she liked to laugh and joke abit. That made me feel more at ease and during our time together she did just that..laughed some...joked abit, etc. and made the whole meet quite layed back and enjoyable......

Without humor, life is pretty boring.

There are times like mentioned nervousness is apparent in the Slave.
I at times see fit to use humour to relax said Slave. It does make things smoother in the beginning

Nothing wrong with humour in play, at least not to me.
