I'm not being overly sensitive. I just expect people to be polite and not try to bring others down. I really could care less what any one thinks. I said the thing I did so that perhaps the next sub who is sensitive and comes looking for help won't get the same bullshit that I did. It's simple... A person asks a question. They want an answer to that question. They do not want you to pick apart everything that they said and tell them everything you don't agree with. Have a lovely day bratty bitches

If you didn't care what anyone thinks, why did you bother asking in the first place?

Hate breaking it to you, but the impression you have that you can dictate how people reply to your posts is a mistaken one. Once you put it out there publicly, the ship that is your control over it sailed. No one guaranteed that you would get told exactly what you wanted to hear wrapped up all pretty in the wrapping paper you picked out.

But it's been interesting to watch you dissolve into a huge puddle of butthurt. Calling others bratty bitches? Sending tantrum filled tirade private messages to others? Interesting because I don't recall anyone calling you derogatory names.

I'm telling ya guys, we need a forum section where only the sensitive souls and nice, fluffy, romantic, agreeable responses are allowed.

So how about it mods???? Maybe a section called "Sensitive Souls"? Think about how much work would be cut down for you!

Or pedantic.

As I said, without facial expressions, body language or vocal inflection to guide us, we put our own biases onto to the words on the screen. Someone who feels insecure will always feel defensive and therefore, no matter how light and fluffy you make it, someone will always project their emotional state into what they're reading and be unhappy.

So, truly, I don't think it would make everyone happy.

Sugar, not trying to be mean here, but you're on a board populated with sadists. Most mean no harm, but folks here call it like it is. Growing a thick skin isn't a bad trait in this area of human interest.

Oh please...another defense of overly sensitive newbies.

I wouldn't call that overly sensitive, that's what someone not acclimated to posting in toxic levels of snark looks like.

We already have a place like that. It's called "Introduce Yourself".

Now I remember why I never go into "Introduce yourself". I just can't can't bring myself to do it and my tongue is sore from biting it too much as is.

Toxic levels of snark??

Whoa, you must be sensitive if you think this thread attained those levels.

I am NOT saying this about the OP or the guy she is meeting, this is meant as a broad general concept.

First time meeting gitters are common

However, crappy doms use guilt and failure as cheap tricks to manipulate newbies.

Decent doms reassure and make someone feel safe in this sort of situation. (before the idiots chime in, yes, fear can be hot in play but its a shitty way to run a relationship)

Express your fears and see how he steps up to take care of you.

Good point Michael. It will say quite a bit about his character.

Hear hear, and all that. Dare I say, I may have a glass to raise to that.
