Keep in mind the relief force from Tripoli only got there about 15 minutes before the final mortar attack that killed the two security guys.

It wasn`t 8 hours....the lunatic fringe has a zillion myths and fake stories out there. Fox news and rightist media have pretty much poisoned the stream with so much bull-shit that no one knows WTF they`re talking about. After the 1st attack, which was beaten back by responding CIA agents and our payed militia, everyone was evacuated to Benghazi airport. They left and were gone minutes after their rescue. Unfortunately the attackers weren`t beaten back before the men where asphyxiated, by having gas poured over there concrete building. After the evacuation,the terrorists returned for a 2nd attack and again, were beaten back by our CIA agents and about 60 payed militia. It was their base, a few yards from the consulate, that Issah leaked the location of, to our enemies. The narrative that the men were stranded and left to die without help is for the consumption of creepy crackers.

By your reasoning Ronald Reagan and the entire Joint Chiefs should have been in Jail for the barracks Bombing in Lebanon in 1983, since they totally screwed the pooch.....by their orders the marines were in a barracks, unarmed, surrounded by mountains that contained militamen hostile to the US who had mortars and artillery aimed down where the barracks were, when the marines went on patrol they were not allowed to have their guns loaded, and they had fucking doof shit Lebanese military as their guards, who get this, were unarmed...........the Navy Seals were smart, they camped on the beach and couldn't believe how fucking stupid the marines and Reagan were..and they were right, and 269 Marines paid with their lives..but of course, St. Reagan and the douchebag that was the head of the Marine corps were untouchable...it made Benghazi look like a day in the park, yet the same people out to get Obama over Benghazi supported the cult of Reagan , that i wasn't his fault. All things like Benghazi do is make the GOP look like the party of rednecks, who have no ideas, no vision, other than to get that black sob out of the white house and try and keep the white trash happy.....sure Faux Newa is the only one reporting it, it is because everyone else realizes there is no story there, that it is another variation on the birther nonsense.

I'll never forget reading the Navy Times report on what happened. The gate guards weren't allowed to have magazines in their M-16's and had no heavy weapons at all. Even an under barrel 40mm GL could have likely stopped the van with the explosives but...
