So what's everyone up to [:)]?

Best wishes, Gary.

Once again, some little elf has gone through the neighborhood, putting American Flags on everyone's lawn. (So cool!)

We are going to a friends house for a pool party/BBQ and will be watching fireworks from our front yard.

I am DAR and descended from a signer of The Constitution. In spite of the problems currently happening in the country, I am very proud to be part of America.

Having a mellow day, trying to muster the energy for some housework.

Dinner tonight with friends.

Already posted my July 4th wishes/hopes in an earlier thread.

Missdressed & I accidentally doubled up on the Independence Day threads, but I guess that people can answer whichever one they like, or both even.

Have fun DC! [:)].

Isn't it supposed to turkey?

I think teams of Americans should rent ex German prisoners-of-war camps, brew their own hyper-strong liquor, and reenact Independence Day as celebrated by James Garner, Steve McQueen et al in 'The Great Escape'. (Minus the bit where poor Ives gets shot as he tries to climb the fence, of course.)

We have corn on the cob, a chocolate cake with whipped cream and local strawberries, and burgers to cook on the grill.
I need to saute some onions, I don't like raw ones.

OsideGirl -> RE: Happy Independence Day! (7/4/2013 2:58:19 PM)

We also have homemade Hard Lemonade.

Happy rebel day.........[8D]

I spent July 4th 2005 in Shreeveport....... By far the best firework display I have ever seen, it even took my mind of Hooters for ten minutes.

Can i suggest you come to Belfast? We have brown lemonade, invented because the shipyard, Harland and Wolff, didn't allow ale on the premises. So c&c lemonade (I think it was c&c) invented brown lemonade so that the workers could sit atop the cranes and drink lemonade and fool their mates it was beer.

Edited. Due to the twatpad again. And the nearly 5am, no reading glasses and sore shoulder.
