Just saw this on Facebook and took it as a spur, in a time when I've been lamenting a lot, to remember some reasons (in no particular order) for gratitude:

-- my amazing family and friends (including folks here), who have rallied round incredibly during my medical adventures
-- health benefits that enable me to get the care I need
-- the beautiful, fascinating city in which I live
-- an interesting, creative job
-- the beauty of the English language
-- my cat
-- living to see gay marriage
-- good books
-- my church community
-- the freedoms we celebrated yesterday
-- CM posters who stretch my thinking

Anyone else feeling grateful? Please hop on in.

I try to remember to be grateful for at least one thing everyday in my life. It's one of my morning rituals.

I'm grateful for:

To have such a wonderful Man in my life

My daughter despite our differences and troubles

My job and the boss I have even though he drives me batty sometimes with his disorganized life.

Where I live. I like where I live and I have a landlord who is pretty decent and I have no troubles with except he likes to talk too much sometimes.

My life in general and where it's going.

My health. I'm still alive. Yeah, some days like today I wish someone would put me out of my misery but I keep reminding myself it could be worse.

The fact that I am not going hungry or live in a war torn and ravaged third world country and my life is relatively easy compared.

Running water and sanitary conditions

Technology

Fresh air and sun

Rain

God

I'm grateful for so many things!

I have three healthy and beautiful kids whom I adore

A man that gave me those three kids

My health

The ability to take a vacation. That I have a job to take a vacation from. That I can afford one. That I have people to enjoy the vacation with. The beautiful landscapes I experienced on the way, from the plains to the mountains and the absolute best, the ocean. The fact that I can walk along that ocean, dive the waves, see my kids' smiles, hear their laughter, taste the salt, and smell the fresh air.

I'm grateful that I have a home to go back to, in an area I enjoy calling my home

For google

Diversity in general (people, food, places...) because that's what makes this world interesting

My parents who gave me a great sense of humor that has helped me in so many ways

And the list goes on and on!
