BKnight6969 -> Induced Lactation (6/27/2006 5:29:36 PM)

Over the Last few weeks I have been thinking more and more about having my slave induce lactation though I am unsure how to go about it in a safe and effective way I have done a little research and have not come up with anything that seems reliable I would greatly appreciate any help I can get thank you.

Hi BKnight....welcome to the boards. Not trying to brush you off here but have you done a search here on collarme? We have had many very informative threads on induced lactation. I am sure others will be along to share their personal experiences but that is at least another resource for you.

In general, lactation is induced by administering estrogen to simulate the high-estrogen state of pregnancy. Then the estrogen is abruptly withdrawn, which more or less fools the body into thinking delivery has taken place. Metaclopromide or similar treatment is then instituted. Sucking stimulation, continued for a few weeks, will result in lactation, but in general it won't be as abundant as normal (in other words, don't expect it to feed a baby, it might not)

The only part of the entire process that is possibly dangerous is the estrogen shock. Some women risk serious health effects, so consulting a doctor would be a good idea.

The La Leche League helps women that adopt infants, but I imagine their materials can be informative to you as well. http://www.lalecheleague.org/

Don't mean to step on you there zen but as a woman who has spent a good number of years lactating...and also a fair number of years active in La Leche League, I would recommend a regimen of stimulation, pumping and Brewer's Yeast supplements prior to trying hormone therapy. Estrogen does carry alot of risks and I am glad that you brought that up...along with the advice on seeing a doctor. If there has been a previous pregnancy...even one that did not go to term...the process will be significantly easier. Once milk production has begun it is "supply" and "demand", meaning your body will gradually build up to supply whatever you demand of it. Please remember that it is a commitment to do so and requires a good deal of time and effort. Once the process is begun it is not something that you can simply just ignore either...there is alot of maintenance. I would recommend purchasing a copy of "The Womanly Art of Breastfeeding". It has been a few years for me and tough to remember but I don't think that it goes into the specifics of induced lactation... it will provide you with a wealth of information on care of the lactating breast though and offer good suggestions to increase production, care of the nipples and what steps you can take if things go wrong (plugged duct, mastitis).

yes, well, not being a woman, i see nothing wrong with prescribing antibiotics. i'm sure you know the style.

but form a play perspective, stimulation, yeast, licking and sucking for months is bound to be more fun than hormone shocks, so you may want to start there.
