I think it was pretty funny, myself - but only because it was ended well. It really could have been tragic, but I like the kid's sense of humor all the same.

This is coming from a woman who believes she cornered the market on dumbass/smartass kids.

I have a son who managed to get suspended from school for smiling once. He's such a smartass, all he had to do was smile. Seriously.

He was also suspended for 'taking up space.' I had to go to the Principal and argue that one, told him that I'd be damned if my son was going to be suspended for failing to defy the laws of physics. They had him back in school that day.

Kids, gotta love em - cuz you can't drag em behind your bumper.

Moon, she might get a female officer one of these days...

Oh I hope I am in the car when that happens. It would be so funny to see her smile fade when a lady cop walks up to the car.

oh I wish I could hook him up to the bumper at times!! :)

Yeah it is pretty funny now, and what is worse is it is some of the new deputies that are serious all the time. They look like they would break if they cracked a smile.

Right!! Oh I have one of those right now. I thought 17 was bad, this is worse!! He is an adult now and thinks oooo I am an adult so I know even more. He tried driving without insurance. I tried to warn him but of course I am just mom. I dont know anything. He got busted and lost his license for a month. I told him not to drive, of course I am just mom again. So now every cop in this town of 1,000 people knows he has no license and no insurance. He has a car that anyone can spot. There is never any wondering if that is my kid. So what does he do?? He drove!!! On a suspended license and no insurance and not for the first time. OMG this kid is going to drive me to drink! What the hell made him think he could get away with driving in a town this small? Even if it is a new cop the ones already here warn them of who to look out for. Someone asked me why I didn't take his car away from him. LOL LOL LOL he is 20 years old and does not live at home. I cant ground him and take his car away from him anymore.

They say the Human brain doesn't fully mature - with the part dealing with judgment maturing last - until age twenty-five. So take heart, you've only five years to go. [:)]

I was suspended from school once. For telling my French teacher to fuck off. In French.

don't say anything. never talk to cops.

MasterCaneman -> RE: What not to say at the sheriffs department (7/10/2013 5:45:51 AM)

While I too was an idiotic teenaged boy once upon a time, smart-mouthing a cop was something I never did. On the contrary, I was usually my group's spokesperson when they arrived to halt our idiocy. My partners-in-crime still owe me for the times I managed to keep us all from going down to the station, thanks to my silver tongue and dashing good looks[;)]. They learned quickly that when I said for them to shut up and let me handle it, it behooved them to do so.
