Ravensnake -> RE: How long does it take you to recovery from a beating? (7/11/2013 4:39:46 AM)

Depends on the experience of the one wielding the whip, the one on the receiving and how quickly the body recovers. As a former pro sub, I've had several hundred from 3,4 and 5ft bullwhips and taken another whipping at a club 5 days later. Some heal quickly, some less so.

My right arm tends to feel a bit sore the next morning but a little bio-freeze and I'm good to go.

Oh, you meant receiving a beating.[8D]

It depends for me. If we're just talking punches, kicks and the sort I can recover in a few hours. If we're talking torture play, hardcore beatings, being cut open, burned, etc. I can go for 3 days straight, but I need a week break after that.

~FRing it~

84 hours 43 minutes and 39 seconds

In all honesty, OP, there are too many factors involved to be able to give any sort of timeframe for recovery

~FR~

Personally, I bruise like a peach and it takes weeks for those bruises to fade. I was on the receiving end of a fairly mild spanking last night, and my ass is now black and blue. I only realised later that he'd kept his signet ring on, which was enough to change the appearance of my skin from "slightly tenderised" to "macerated". That's just how it is for me. A butterfly just has to land on me, and I'll get a massive purple bruise. [:D] Luckily, though, I'm all show; my skin may look like I've been dragged by a horse for a mile, but I'm never sore for very long afterwards.

I bruise so deeply and easily that it takes forever for me to heal. I have a burn on my arm that is 2 months old and still visible enough for people to ask about what happened.

graceadieu -> RE: How long does it take you to recover from a beating? (7/11/2013 3:49:43 PM)

I'm not a serious masochist (and D not a serious sadist), and I don't bruise or scar easily, so I've only had a few times where I had marks from play for more than a few hours. If I have a bruise, it's much more likely to be from martial arts class, lol.

SunTzuSwe -> RE: How long does it take you to recover from a beating? (7/12/2013 6:27:36 AM)

I've administered canings after which it took about three weeks for the marks to disappear. And that's just regular bruisings (welts), I never drew blood...

many thanks again for all the responses :-)

To Ravensnake: I can't imagine taking several hundred just yet! it was a 3ft used on me but am guessing a 5ft one like you had is more punishing.

To Leesalove: Take it easy there

To Hillwilliam: haha!

To Piccante & TallullahHk: I wish i was like that. i could make out like I've had a good beating ;-)

To SeekingTrinity: cheers, i see now it is a vague question

To graceadieu: hiiiiiyaaaa ! ;-)

To SunTzuSwe: Welts but not cuts shows you are in control. You want the person beating you to also simultaneously be taking good care of you

Here a pic here if anyone's interested, it was taken about 2-3 days after. My bum was beaten too but thought I can't just go around posting pics of my bum on the web :P
