I have to support what Sir Guy is saying. Some years back, I got it into my head that I wanted to be a pony, and built a cart, and made up the basic gear to go with it. Since I didn't have a Dominant in my life at the time, I thought I'd at least "test the waters" by renting myself out for cart rides at a leather carnival fund raiser. Although I had a great time, and only had a few takers, the strain of it was almost enough to make me faint. (imagine pulling almost 250 pounds of deadweight for several miles, without building yourself up first!) My heart felt like it was going to burst! Ouch. But, it did prove to me that it was something I wanted to persue. So, I began by taking long walks, got reaquainted with veggies, and started watching my carb intake. People can say whatever they like about pony play, but it sure isn't being relaxed on a bondage table! Great excersise! As far as the gear goes, you can get by as expensively or as cheaply as you desire. You can make your own bits, tails and so forth pretty easily. Attaching a couplde of side "D" rings to a gag strap will allow you to attach reigns. There's also a pony rope harness you can do. (instructions are available on the web) As far as the hoof boots go, I think they look great in photo shoots, but they definitely wear out a sub pony faster than anything else! I just stick with regular leather boots or athletic shoes myself. If you really NEED to hear that cloping sound, you might try tap shoes, or clogs. (I've been told 1970's style platforms also make great hooves.) Carts can be made from all sorts of things: garden carts, multi child strollers, or bike wheels with a PVC pipe frame. It's something I've played a few times, but then I had to stop when I moved to Arkansas. Only recently have I made contact with another "pony Domme" who is interested in helping me pick up where I left off. So, keep looking for like minded others, pony fans! You can be sure there's someone out there who would LOVE to take you for a ride!
