Will you all miss me?!!?
No2 son graduated last week. I graduated Monday but went to the beach instead, and no1 son graduates tomorrow. I may have mentioned this before.
He is getting first class honours - which is the highest you can get here in the uk. He's also getting the Presidents Prize because he gained the highest average mark of any student on any course this year In the university he attends. He came top of the whole Uni.
He also had multiple tumours in his mastoid bone. Went to school as an unintelligible talker - he had No intelligible speech, and still has only 60%hearing - he only has 10% in this right ear.
They were able to remove the tumours (3 times they came back the bastards) and then they reconstructed the inside of his ear with microsurgery.
I had to fight for a school to take him - they wanted to send him to a special school and I refused because I am sure he would not have achieved what he has if he had gone there.
So, today I get on a plane and tomorrow I will watch him get his degree.
And quite probably blub the whole way through.
