Status: offline 		I don't know if you all have seen Justin Timberlake's music video "Tunnel Vision," but if features 3 women wearing nothing other than nude thongs. While it doesn't surprise me that America isn't quite ready for such nudity...I think it's a step in the right direction; women should be noticed for their natural beauty.

The women in the video aren't plastered with make-up. They aren't on a stripper pole. They're just jamming "au natural."

Personally, I think it's a step to a more European view of the body. Natural is beautiful. Naked is natural.

I mean, the message of the song is that JT is focused on one woman. It's not like he saying that all he wants is to see all women running around naked, bra busting or humping the air. He's focused on one woman and her natural beauty. Saying "I only see you"

What do you think? Do you think it's too risqué? I don't know if I'm allowed to post the video...but I figure since we talk about celebrities in another section of the CM Forum, it would be okay to talk about this...specific to one song.

Status: offline 		What I see is some very gorgeous, young female nudes. When videos start showing older females, heavier, saggy, males and females I will start to think our society is viewing natual as beautiful, naked as natural.
If that video wanted to promote that, Justin should have been nude. Otherwise it is more of the same. It is ok to be young, fit, nude and female.

Status: offline 		They may not be 'humping the air' but they are certainly writhing in a very sexual way, and they definitely conform to the skinny tanned white girl ideal of beauty. Also dramatic lighting, shiny skin, smoke effects, pouty aroused faces.

Doesn't really strike me as a celebration of natural beauty so much as a variation on the usual hot women gagging for the clothed artist.

That said, I'm not offended by nudity and I've often said I'd rather my kids see nudity on tv than violence.

edit: and the song is rubbish

Status: offline 		I will agree that the video may be lacking in some ways (I didn't think race would be an issue...but there it is), but I do agree that the women are young and fit. One can only assume that the women he choose would fit the "type" of woman that he's attracted to, after all, the song is literally about a woman that he desires (for lack of a better word and to not repeat "attracted to").

There is at least one person on this board that can tell you that I really like naked women. It takes a lot to make a video with naked women that I don't like. I would suggest that it takes deliberate effort to do that.

Look at my profile. I see a movie where a girl walks by and has pretty shoes on and I'm like, "Did you see that? Want to make love?"

This video had naked women in it and I said, "Meh."

Yes...Malcolm VERY much likes naked women....he really, really likes them naked, in stilettos, doing his dishes....

They were wearing something?

Personally, i think it attained it's goal to entertain. But i wouldnt buy the song anytime soon, that kind of pop-lounge music isnt really appealing to a day to day listening-to, at least for me. It was a beautiful video though.... it participates in the sexualized society we live in, some people will be outraged cause we see breasts and naked women without any effort to hide them. (I'm thinking about the scandal Janet Jackson made while showing only one of her breast....i can only guess about all the talks that are being made around the video of Justin).

My puritane side was shocked at first....and then i enjoyed it, because of it's overall simplicity. Maybe i'm just conflicted
