Since a great deal of outsiders may be watching, I will have to fess up to some stuff. lest they think I am taking a high and mighty or taking you to a real woodshed.

I know it burns your ass a little that of all people, a yank has you on a point. I know that in a real world discussion of ancient or even modern literature and or the English Language you would actually trounce my ass, sort me out, and bin me, instantly.

It is just so rare and delicious I get to throw not one, but two on you. I know it was all done in a moment of intense passion, and that they were just momentary hubris in the rage to get it out to the great unwashed plebians (the cohortS crowd). And frankly, as I said, there is some association with Lucian and that phrase.

Another country heard from. I wonder, we haven't heard from Polite, now; he's a Tory, can he rustle us up a Daily Mail article on the allium shortages to the north due to the cold?

No worries, Ron: it's always great to see you enjoying myself, and I should have been able to keep Lucian and Juvenal straight in any case (Juvenal is the Roman one whose satires are actually funny, as you say.)

Careful what you wish for Ron.

We are having our hottest summer since 2006, and even then we had shortages. So it isnt just the cold.

But how will it affect house prices in middle England?

House prices keep rocketing. London has hit an all time high, probably due to Chinese and Russian money.

Thankfully onions are still affordable.

As an aside...... Anyone read about the artist who made a paper sculpture out of £20K+ worth of rare Comics ? He had found them dumped in a skip.
