ORIGINAL: compes It's so interesting to look over this thread from 6 years later. It turns out, I was right all along. We had no reason, at that time, to invade Iraq. Saddam didn't fund Osama bin Laden for the attack on the World Trade Center. The two actually hated each other. There were never any weapons of mass destruction in Iraq. And we've been in a quagmire in Iraq ever since. When we responded during Desert Storm is when we should have wiped the map clean of Saddam - we had world-wide support then, and the military generals urged Bush senior to press our advantage. Bush ignored them. We also had world-wide support in Afghanistan when we went in to find bin Laden. But Bush Junior blew it. He redirected our forces from Afghanistan back to replay his daddy's war in Iraq, letting bin Laden go free. We won. In 2003 Dubya proclaimed "Mission Accomplished". Why are we still there now? No, it is not interesting to look at 6 year old threads that some idiotic dildo thought would be "cool" to resurrect. This is the first time I have ever put anyone on ignore after reading only one of their posts. Jerk. Hi, Greedy. Sauerkraut.
